I will definitely be playing Strikers this weekend. I purchased it on Tuesday but haven't had much time to play on account of THE MAN's forcing me to work all week.

Well I just picked mine up Wednesday and last night finally played a game online. Ended up getting disconnected, not sure if server is being overloaded or what? Also had hard time connecting as well.

I've got to finish Super Paper Mario as I will be trading it in for credit towards Madden 08. I'd like to get to Metroid Prime 2 so that I can play 3 when it comes out - already have it preordered.

Yeah this game is so much fun online. I'm hooked. I have not even touched the single player yet. However, mikeykool is right, there are some major connection issues that need to be fixed. I seem to always get disconnected after finishing a game or after the 'getting stats' screen while logging in. Last night I had to just quit playing altogether because it wouldn't let me login. There is some error with the stats.

I will be replaying (and hopefully finishing this time) Metriod Prime 2. I never finished it the 1st time...so I started over from the beginning.

This is my 'refresher course' for MP3 arrival later in the month.

We will also be playing Mario Party 8 and Excite Truck (what a great arcadey racer) and maybe a few rounds of Wii Sports bowling.

Got Strikers and on the first day I had some connection trouble. As of last night I can fire it up log in and play. I unfortunately will be playing nothing this weekend as my summer credits require me to write papers all weekend. Hopefully I will get my fill of it next weekend so I am not torn between it and Metroid.

Nintendo wasn't expecting this kind of server capacity, obviously

I'm taking it online for the first time tonight, i'd figure i'd take a few days to master the basics before giving it a shot, even though i've gone on once to retrieve my friend code

I'm getting RE4 from a friend for my birthday this weekend, and depending on how much else I rake in, I might get Strikers this week too, if I have enough to still get Corruption on release.

But I won't get to play much this week. What with school just starting back, and A.P. Bio requiring me to read about 200 pages of the biology book this weekend as well -_-

And I'm expected to get a job and Dual-enroll to take calculus.

Picked it up first day out. I love it, even though I am not that good. I am focusing on the single player to get good for online matches. I played online, had a tiny bit of lag, and one failed login attempt when the statistics were loading, but other than that I have had no problems. Really fun game that has got me REALLY pumped for Madden in a few weeks. I can't wait to play that online. For now, more soccer.

I don't plan on playing it this weekend. I plan on getting paid Monday so I can be playing it every subsequent weekend.

So I rented Strikers and I'm impressed. I played the GC version and this one feels tighter, both in controls and speed. I like the captains and the balance. Online works for me, but there's a very noticeable lag in the game. It feels like it runs at maybe 75% of the normal (local) game speed, with points of complete pauses in the action. I'm on a wired line and I've only played opponents with a 3 or 4 out of 4 stars in the connection, so I think this is really a problem, especially since it kills the twitch gameplay.

I'm impressed with the connection and I haven't had any lag. I'm still pretty terrible at the game though.

I totally buy into the whole "Wiimote is more accessible" argument with Resident Evil 4 and now Mario Strikers.

On the GC, I was never able to really get into RE4 because I found it hard aiming with the second analog. And then with Mario Strikers on GC, I was just never able to get the right button combinations, so I ended up just shooting whenever I got the ball; result of mindless button mashing.

But lo-and-behold, on the Wii, RE4 controls so easily and intuitively. And I'm actually good at Mario Strikers (or a sports game in general)! It's so gratifying to violently shake your wiimote to hit someone. I haven't tried an online match yet, but I checked out the setup and it looks easy and pretty good. The online leaderboard is cool. Great great game!
