Hopefully this will be more efficient than the outsourced call centers have been in the past.

Yeah, I noticed this changed a few days ago... although, I didn't get any credit since I signed up already.

Seems to contain much of the same information, though.

It all sounds pretty good, also the registering Xbox. Though it's a little too late for mine, which got stolen and never to be seen again.

That site has been live for at least the last 2 months. After sending my Xbob360 in for repairs, I received 1 month of Xbox Live for free when it came back. The card was on top of the console.

I guess people just haven't noticed the service website. MS has had this website up for a long time now, slowly adding features to it.

About a month ago they added this feature (along with the ability to purchase an extended warranty online), but took it down after it failed.

You can also get to this website by going to the Xbox.com Service area and clicking on the "Repair Agent" graphic on the right hand side.

I keep on getting a "problem occurred" page
I've checked all my settings, SN and everything, yet this keeps coming up.

This site is NOT new. It's been around for a very long time. I used it when sending my console back for repairs.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO REGISTER YOUR CONSOLE!

Should I feel a bit slighted that the site tells me my 360 is out of warranty... I mean didn't we all got extensions. :P

#10: Yes, you can register multiple devices. Just add new device.

Extensions are only for the RROD problem, so you might need to call if you're out of warranty with RROD...

I guess microsoft has no official term for RROD warranties to post that on the site. *shrugs*

MS i actually whan to a nother human instead of typing and dialing i should be pressing in button combinations. it makes it more bearable for them with the overflow of consoles coming in. this store say 30% but i want to no the numbers going to MS and to other businesses who also fix 360s would that % go up. i never knew it but thanks for putting it out there MS already told me the bad news about not having a RROD.

Well, I'm guessing that my problem in using this site is that they have already replaced my old serial number with the one from the replacement unit they are sending me, and I'll have to try and attach that to my account once I get it. When I gave the Xbox CSR my original serial number, he couldn't find where it was registered at all.

No email telling me it was coming back, though. I don't think the system is as solid as they'd like it to be...

I've tried this about 50 times, it hasn't worked. Oh, and like people above me have said, it's been around at least several weeks.

I'm getting mine in tomorrow. I noticed the site said "no pending repairs" since about Wednesday. Today I got an automated call from UPS about it... so if you see that, I guess it's a good sign.

All told, if I count from when they sent the box out, tomorrow would be just about three weeks total. There was about a week (or more) where I had the box and didn't get a chance to send it out, so I can't really count that.

I hate that it happened at all, but the turnaround time was better than I expected.

wow if ur xbox broke i would raise hell with xbox customer support. i did just this after i recieved my 360 from repair(after a long 2 month wait) and after an hour of play it broke again. i called to get my 360 repaired again and as compensation i got pgr3 for free. but 2 weeks later i called to c where my prepaid shipping box was to only find out that the lady only made the order for me 2 recieve my copy of pgr3. i rose hell with xbox customer support and got my way through the supervisors and so on. and after about 3hrs on the phone i got to some1 helpful. he told me that he sent out my prepaid shipment box, and as compensation i am recieving the following:
-wireless xbox 360 controller
-xbox 360 universal media remote
-3 more months of gold(added to the 1month already recieved)
-1600 xbox360 live points
-another game
so if u were as mad as i was, i would call the xbox support center instead of a lousy email or however the site works and u could get alot of stuff. i got to choose all that stuff on the list and did all this about 2 weeks ago

I just call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and tell "Max" the Automated Man my phone number, and he tells me my status.

What's amazing is that I sent mine in last week because my GPU died, and I'm getting it back in about 5 business days. Can't get any better than that.
