They should have bundled Viva Pinata. That game is for everyone AND kicks major amounts of ass!

Hey, this is cool. It's always good when a console puts a free game in there. It's probably best to put a casual game in for the package, since you don't want a T or M rated game to try and lure parents into buying. Although a game with Rockstar in the title might put them off...

i would rather get the COD3 bundle or Foroza 2 bundle. Not old table tennis bundle. Although I think they might of stoped making the COD 3 bundle.

Sounds good to me.

Wii: comes with Wiisports 249
360: comes with Table Tennis: 349
Wii60: comes with Table Tennis and Wiisports: $600
PS3: comes with motorstorm: $599

as long as sony is screwed I'm happy. I don't see how Sony can come back, even if it starts getting games Nintendo and Microsoft is just better alternative. Halo 3, Mass effect, and Bioshock, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Metroid Prime 3.

PS3 has no future in America.

@ Adv2k1

What planet are you on?

M$ is last to the "bundle game" party... Who gives a damn about Table-Tennis?! They see that the Wii is selling well with Wii Play included and they see the PS3 being sold heavily with Hot Shots Golf included in japan. You keep telling yourself that SONY has no future in america. Its funny you say that but M$ has no stability in PAL or Japan and they never will. Especially, if 360s are being recalled in Australia. There are plenty of 60GBs out there in circulation and once they are depleted, the 80GB version will drop down to $500.

Come On! M$ has realised that the PS3 is being purchased 2 to 1 now and that the Wii is about to take the lead in total units sold. Since, their beloved E3 line-up has tanked and Peter Moore has abandoned them, they are being desperate. That shows by them dropping a price on console that has no kind of technical or comestic change or upgrade and potentially will malfunction and a game that has been release over a year.

Mike-

Seriously? Who gives a damn about table tennis?

Apparently you haven't looked at the Wii's sales figures lately. Casual gaming is selling. Table Tennis is a PERFECT pack in for MS. The proper statement should be "Who gives a damn about Motorstorm."

Microsoft shot themselves in the foot once again. They want to look/compare to the Wii, but The 360 will look pretty retarded when their "casual" target market starts swinging around the 360 controller to no avail.

Who is this casual market that MS is trying to appeal to with Ping Pong? Someone define casual for me please. Rockstar Table Tennis is a pretty hard game, and I'd say it's alot better than most sports games also. If you believe the casual gamers are high schoolers, then you sorely underestimate the purchasing power of our parents and ourselves come Christmas time. Halo 3 is going to be the spark of one of the biggest years in the industry's history.

We can't define 'Casual gamer' as definitions of it change between person to person. But I consider it to be an infrequent player of video games... I mean, it's not really a passtime for them, it's more just a thing to do every once and a while.

I do think table tennis is not the right packin game,I
also think the lack of GTA4 is a big ass kick for sony this holiday season, they have no games to move consoles"acception" of some of the fan boys.On the other hand I still believe that $50.00 drop is not going to move as many consoles as $100.00 would have for the 360.

Table Tennis is a poor pack in. Microsoft is trying to show its system is like the Wii. Ignorant casual gamers and parents are just going to see one game console, the 360, for $280.00 with Table Tennis. Then they are going to see the other game console they know about already, the Wii, for only $250.00 with bowling, tennis, golf, boxing, and baseball. Forcing that comparison is a bad strategy. It would work if the 360 was cheaper than the Wii, but I don't know what parent is going to pay more for an alternative that looks inferior (even if they can't find a Wii).

Microsoft would have been better off including something like Viva Pinata which is selling below expectations anyway. That would appeal to parents and the casual crowd and represent the 360's actual strong points.

Anyway, I don't want to sound too negative. Obviously, a price cut and a free game is still an all around solid deal.

Cuz nothing MS does or will do in the future will ever satisfy these people.

As for causal gamers having no "passion" thats bs. Causal gamers can have a passion for games as well. They're just not obsessed with games.

I'm probably a causal gamer but I visit sites like Joystiq, IGN, and others to keep up with the news regarding games. And I play videogames frequently as well. Not just "once in a while".

Causal gamer is a very BROAD term and its different for many people. It would be easier to stereotype a "hardcore" gamer than a "causal" one.

Too True, I loved this game and for me it's great news that they are bundling this in with 360 because it means that there will be more gamers giving the online of R*TT the loving it so badly deserves.

Did they Ever do a Viva Pinata faceplate??? I think They should do a Core viva pinata bundle for the kids.. What would be really cool is if they did one painted in a VP theme, similar to the Halo Ed. That would be dope.

There's more than just Table Tennis. I saw Target boxes with NCAA Football 07 and Best Buy boxes with Top Spin 2 packed in.
