"WTH? How much AI and how great a physics engine does a rhythm game need?"

exactly. Boogie doesnt require high-level production values (nor can Wii handle next-gen programming/animation), yet its still overpriced at $60.

"The game is $60 because it includes a microphone."

its a corded USB microphone, not a high-quality Bluetooth headset/mic. look at the competition's offering: a true next-gen game Warhawk that requires intense programming and servers for online play, plus a bluetooth headset, for the same $60.

Warhawk: a game that I don't want and a good headset for $60.

Boogie: a game that I do want and a low-quality mic for $60.

Hmm... let me think...

"but I find the use of "intuitive" controls suspect; they were intutive last year but it didn't stop it from being ridiculous - and 2) that's what most gamers remember about Warhawk."

did you pay attention to the YouTube video? that guy was spinning the Sixaxis like it was a basketball! he could hardly control the plane since the motion sensing was way inaccurate.

Inaccurate, yes. Intuitive doesn't mean accurate. You move the controller like you were tipping a plane. That's pretty intuitive if you ask me - not much of a learning curve. Problem is, it's complete trash. There's a reason they allow players to use the control sticks instead.

And if you think the quality of next-gen games is measured by "intense programming and servers for online play", I'm done arguing with you.

@Anam

"...you're still comparing a game that was intended to have ultra-realistic graphics to a rhythm game."

actually Warhawk is noted for its cartoony feel, as opposed to ultra-realistic graphics, with characters that got exagerated large feet and hands.

"You're trying to say Boogie is a bad deal because of its graphics... which don't really matter for a rhythm game."

it doesnt matter what the game is. all Wii games have last-gen graphics and performance. i guess i didnt make that clear in my original comment.

Okay, maybe Warhawk is cartoony, I might be mistaking it for another game.

"wii games have last gen graphics and performance"

God how ignorant can one person be?

The Wii was never meant to have "next gen" graphics. Plain and simple.

And furthermore why are you so obsessed with next gen? Why can't I and other Wii owners possibly be happy/satisfied with CURRENT gen graphics.

Plus your comment is so generalized that its beyond stupid.

The performance on the Wii is not last gen in every single game. Also what performance do you mean?

Sales wise? Graphics wise? Gameplay wise?

The Wii has surpassed all sales goals that most people predicted for it.

The Wii wasn't built to have 1080i or 1080p. How can it fail at something it wasn't meant to do in the first place.

Finally gameplay wise. I think most Wii owners will agree that the Wiimote and Nunchuk have added a lot of depth to most games on the Wii. When utilized CORRECTLY like in Legend of Zelda or Red Steel, the Wiimote is both fun and easy to use for gamers of all ages and skill level.

In short you're a troll. You enjoy arguing for the sake of arguing.
