Loved this game back in thy day. Already destroyed a couple of keyboards using with Mame so I don't think I'll be risking the 360 controllers on this one. And where the hell is Tron?

I have an expendable 360 controller (has a messed up LB button that I had to disassemble.) I'll just use that for this game.

Honestly, I do kind of dislike how every Konami title has a similar menu with the same sound effects... I like Namco's approach to that a lot better... although then again, Namco doesn't enhance the games in any way beyond that.

Man I love this game. I used to spend hours at the arcade (I'm pretty old...) playing this and having so much fun trying to break the world records. Even though I have bought a lot of the XBLA games, this is the first I am really, really excited about.

@ TORO & Gemini - I think you can actually "waggle" the left joystick back and forth to run.
And did anyone over 30 used to play this game in the arcades back in the day and use a comb between their fingers to act as a lever to tap both keys faster?

Great news! Built a MAME cabinet a few years ago and played this to death on it!
I loved this as a kid in the arcade, just need Hyper Sports now! I was the daddy at skeet shooting ;o)

@Brevis - oh yeah, the old comb trick, used that a lot, we ended up graduating to electric toothbrushes to get 3 meter high jumps! :)
