Everyone realizes these Halo 3 Zunes are just leftover regular Zunes with Halo 3 designs painted on them.

Good effort though. This is one case where the brown exterior actually looks pretty good.

The Zune is a pretty good mp3 I don't like the way most people just brush it off because they have had a Ipod for 3 yr and its is the main mp3. Try the Zune you will love it and you can alwas upgrade it to a 120GB hard drive

I've had my Zune since Day One and I love it. I sold my iPod to get it and have never been sorry.

Believe it or not, Microsoft has a decent history of supporting the military with their products. They've got Military Appreciation bundles for the Xbox 360, which cost the same amount as the 360 you'd buy at EB but include a couple games (good ones too) and is tax fee to boot. They've also got a MS Office Military Appreciation edition, which retails for $80 (a huge discount.) I'd bet that this military zune goes for $200.

I do wish that I could get a Vista Ultimate Edition Military package for ~$100, though.

Right, stamp Halo 3 onto a brown Zune and call it "military". More profitting from Hal fanaticism. The Zune is very functional, I own one, and I too took back an Ipod video to get on and never looked back. If you're in the market for a HD based MP3 player and hate I-Tunes, it's a good choice, but this military Halo crap is just ridiculous. Milk that cash cow there MS...

I think they should give these out for free to all soldiers. They're sacrificing so much and so unappreciated by society (I blame the media); it wouldn't hurt to give them some reward, small as it may be.

Agree with #11. It would be almost be embarrassing to read an article about military Zunes being given away for free. Like, here's your Zune for getting shot at, possibly blown up and coming back with a mental illness after extended tours of combat. That would seem like a joke. But to make them pay for it? Geez. It's no Microsoft's fault, but our soldiers deserve so much better.
