I will be spending many an hour playing Everyday Shooter. Mutant Storm looks fun too.

Loooove shmups.

Arrgh hate bullet hells though I like shoot-em-ups. Darn my arcade upbringing! And freaking touching walls killing me really sucks worse than bullets!

Never understood why Mutant Storm didn't get more attention. I personally preferred it to Geometry Wars.

Ugh! Everyday Shooter's music was terrible! That would drive me crazy if I had to listen to it for more than 3 minutes....

Mutant Storm's main drawback had nothing to do with the game itself. It released so close to Geometry Wars that it was overshadowed and thought of as just being more of the same, even though there is a deeper "game" behind it.

It's amazing how with all of this forthcoming iD tech, the visuals of Everyday Shooter and any Mizuguchi game can look so outstanding. There is definitely something to be said for STYLE.

I love how almost an article about a top-down shooter like this has to have some mention of geometry wars. I bought a 360 for that game. I knew halo 3 was going to be coming to the platform, but the reason I ended up buying one within 5 months of launch is because i couldn't belive how cool GW looks. The game ages well too - i could log on right now and play and still have a blast. I don't think I've ever gotten better value for my money from any game ever. It's a brilliant game that's single handedly responcible for not only reinvigorating an entire genre, but also making it credible.

A game like everyday shooter - with all it's style - goes to show how far this genre has come all because GW opened the flood gates. Awesome stuff.
