Just Cause and Overlord are being downloaded as we speak...

Man, it's getting to the point where I don't have to worry about whether I can afford games or not. Chances are it'll end up on Gametap a month later.

Hmmm

I just bought the game for 360 last Monday and I have a Gametap account. I guess I’d rather play it from the couch, but maybe not for $60.

I’ll download it just to see how it plays on the PC. I really like it so far. I’ve probably put about 10 hours into it.

I just can't bring myself to pay for a gametap account. 90% of what they have is freely emulated. I signed up for a free account to check out how they handle matchmaking but the few games I tried wouldn't let me configure my pad.

90% of what they have is not “freely emulated.” Downloading ROMs for play on emulators is piracy. I’m not really criticizing you for playing stuff on emulators, I’m just saying that those games aren’t really free—they’re illegal. A lot of people have been saying for years that they’d be willing to pay to play some of these old games rather than downloading ROMs, but there weren’t any real legal options to do so. Personally, I think it feels pretty good to play Burger Time legally.

The only reason I got a Gametap is because Gamefly has had nothing available on my list (I'm probably gonna cancel my subscription, actually).

I think it's a good service so far, and cheap (only $10 a month is probably its best feature).

I like how I can download and play oldschool games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale without having to go through painful installations and countless disc-swapping (Baldur's Gate was like 6 discs!).

I also like playing games like Frogger and getting high scores on leaderboards, but I could never justify the $5-$10 price range of classic XBLA titles.

But now that Overlord is available, shiiiiit that's fantastic! That's one of those games that has been unavailable on Gamefly for forever. FINALLY I get to play it!
