I long for another Mario game that is set in the Mushroom Kingdom (like Mario 64) but atleast Galaxies doesn't involve cleaning goo off of the ground (wow was that an idiotic concept). Mario, and SSB, are the two reasons that 120 bucks of my gaming budget will be going to Wii games, and not to other games like BioShock and Mass Effect (COD:4, Halo 3 etc are enough FPS's for me, atleast for this season)

Missing out on Bioshock is a bad bad idea man...Drop COD4 (COD3 was crap) and get bioshock instead.

While I fully agree missing out on Bioshock should be a sin, CoD3 wasn't even made by Infinity Ward.

They don't even recognize CoD3 as a game. They think CoD4 is the new CoD3.

At a playtest for IGN, the editor's noted that the shortcut to the game on the dev computer was labeled CoD3.exe ;)

That aside, none of this is new, it was all shown at E3, Boo suit, Bee suit, whichever.

I'm all for mario, and will buy this at day one. But I can tell you right now, new Wii fans are more hyped about Wii sports than any other Wii title. Smash Bros has the appeal to the younger audience/core games, but the new gamers that the Wii has drawn in, don't really get why we should be excited about Metroid, or a "wacky new fangled" 3-D Mario game.

I'm really curious about how this game will turn out. I think I'll pick up Metroid Prime 3 first even if Galaxy is released earlier in Europe. After the leap we've seen with SM64 I am beyond doubt that this will be another piece of gaming goodness.

We're still making duct tape jokes? No worries, i'll just reply with a "where's the beef?" since we all can't seem to let some things go.

Wow, I actually agree with the man for once. Though CoD4 looks good, it'll prob play fairly similarly to the previous iterations.

Just go on You Tube and watch all the vids you can on Bioshock. You won't be sorry. This game looks set to rule my 360 for a good long time. Possibly even over Halo 3.....

Yeah. Pretty much if you are getting 2 360 shooters you need Bioshock and Halo3. Get your multiplayer from H3 and get sheer awesomeness with Bioshock. COD4 looks damn good, don't get me wrong, but let's be real here, it is no Bioshock.

This is true, especially since they confirmed Halo 3 will be online co-op. I never really have the time to arrange mates who live miles away coming round for a few hours. Now I can just meet up over Live. Good stuff. Though the fact that he's aced Halo 1 & 2 on legendary and I struggle above medium difficulty levels might irritate him aa bit when I keep dying.

So if anyone distinctly average at FPS wants to meet up once Halo 3 is out for a game, reply to me and we'll see where we can go. Be good to have some mates of my own (low) caliber.

But anyway, back on topic, this game looks the mutt's nuts. That is all.

COD4 is 60 bucks, Lair is 60 bucks, Halo 3 is 120, Mario is 60, SSB is 60, Assassins Creed is 60, Katamari will be 30ish probably, so that works out to about 450 dollars (more if Assasins Creed has a "Special Edition". I'm a sucker) so you can see why I'd be stopping myself short of buying Bioshock/Too Human/Mass Effect etc. Then again, last year I spent over a grand on a wii/PS3, so this year won't be as harsh =P

this is the one wii game where I can honestly say that it looks like an xbox 360 running on standard def. and I think that was what Nintendo was going for when deciding how powerful they wanted the console to be.

Tax here is 10%, so instead of doing the (difficult when inebriated) math involved with 55 + 55, I opted to say 60 =P. That makes up for not having figured int tax on any of the other games (not really, tax would make that 450 turn into something more like 500). It's going to be an expensive season XD

I dont think you knew that these games were 50. Wouldnt you have said that bioshock and CoD4 are 70 then?

lol, what a fool. Wii games are 50. XBox 360/PS3 games are 60. That is a fact. Spending money on tax is something you calculate once you added all your purchases together, so it does not change the original price of the games you purchased. For sake of comparison, they are 10 dollars apart from each other.

This game is going to rock, and it is going to keep pulling in all the gamers who quit gaming 10 years ago and are getting back into it.

I know the duct-taped jokes are old, but "Super Mario Galaxy (which, as we all know, was originally just two Super Mario Star Clusters duct-taped together)," is very inventive. And just plain funny.
