Your right but HDMI wasn't important then plus you can get 1080P through VGA and Component they're just giving people more options thats how I see it

POS3 Fanboys can say what they want but the fact is that Xbox360 is ahead and after this Christmas Holiday the gap will be even bigger. Why? GAMES lol
Sony should try making some.

That really is fantastic that the motherboard codename appears right there on the box. I've got the money and am all ready to jump in. I'll just be Falcon hunting from now on ...

What's the deal with getting the digital sound with an HDMI cable. My HDTV hasn't got a dolby digital out. Would I have to plug the HDMI cable from the 360 into an AV amp to access the 5.1?

Duh, your TV only has 2 speakers so you will need a receiver that connects 5 speakers plus subwoofer. Either way the Premium always had a optical out. I like the idea of HDMI and what it can do but right now it's just a state of mind.

Remind me why I should care how big the physical dimension of the CPU is? It's not like it's going to deliver better graphics or faster processing.

Smaller chips = less heat = your 360 not bursting into flames = good = a 360 purchase?...

Launch Console (Costco Prem Bundle), with VGA Adapter. Don't need HDMI. Set until Xbox 420 or until my 360 goes broke (no signs of yet).

Also, it also does wonders for your graphics if you go to your System blade and go to Display and set your Reference level to Expanded. But I'm running my 360 on an Acer AL21216W at 1360x768 resolution that is connected via VGA adapter.

The smaller die size has better thermal properties (as there is less metal that the electrons have to push through to get where they are going) so run cooler. But the main advantage is not to the consumer, its to MS. Processors are grown on a silicon wafer and then cut out. A manufacturer's yield is how many functional processors they can get out of single wafer. A smaller processor size meens they can fit more on the wafer, thus increasing their yield without having to do anything. Increasing their yeild, decreases their production costs. As producing a wafer of processors costs the same regardless of how many they make per wafer.

10:55AMWhat a waste of money.

"MS releases a half-assed console and expects their customers to keep buying it over and over again.
(Until they finally fix the damn thing)

They should have just released the console "right" in the beginning. An all shit that's going on now, probably wouldn't be happening.

But of course the console would've cost around the same price as a PS3, if they did that.

So what's more important? Having a reliable console available to their customers? Or a having a console available that has a shit load of problems, but a least its cheaper than our competitors."

You are a looser. You Copy and paste the same thing on all posts. Get a life. Play you'r PS3 (I have one 2). Why are you so angre at the Xbox 360. It is a bad ass sistem

That page is so fucking old, I'm surprised you PC fanbots are still using this as some valid resource to prove an invalid point. Oh then again, you couldn't afford shit.

@ This news post:

The images are fake and the Xbox 360 is shit. End of. Next!!

Actually I have confirmed at Target (I work there part time) that not all of the new HDMI Xbox 360 premiums are in new boxes. The best way to check is to have someone lift the serial cover.

NEW INFO RE: HALO Ed. Console, Box Sticker, HDMI, cable, etc.

My wife just purchased this Halo Console for me, and upon looking at the Halo Xbox 360 Box, the print is somewhat similar to the picture above (above, right) in that it does not indicate that HDMI is present. Also, the attached box sticker does not mention 'Zephyr' NOR 'Falcon'... however, upon looking at the actual console rear, there is a dedicated HDMI port, right below the larger Xbox port. Although no HDMI cable was included, the cable that came with this unit is a SINGLE cable that houses component HiDef, composite A-V(red, white, yel), AND optical. This cable has a sliding switch to select between composite TV and HD. I haven't tried connecting HDMI, but I'm gathering that I either won't -- or be hard pressed -- to see any difference between the two different Hi-Def signals (my 62" tv has a max resolution of 1080i).

So, I don't know if I have the 65nm chips or not. But, I thought that some of you may be interested in what the box indicates (or does not indicate) and what is actually present on this Halo console.

Cheers!
