i heard it's a solid fun game. I just quit wow a month ago though and don't wanna be dragged into another mmo for a while, otherwise i'd try this myself

If you like WOW you will most likely LOTRO. It is a lot like it, which is not a bad thing, why not borrow from the most popular and perhaps best MMORPG there is? I like LOTRO better just because I know it's universe. When you stand on the Weathertop the first time or stroll through the shire it's just way more familiar than the Warcraft-Universe which I don't know at all. I played the first two games, but that's more than a decade ago. If you like MMORPGs and the LOTR universe, you will obviously like LOTRO. I haven't played WOW long enough to compare them, neither any other online games, but I like it enough. If you look for sth new, tho, you will probably be disappointed, it's the same technique of playing as in WOW and most of the other MMORPGs. I hope AoC will bring sth new, tho.

Umm... The UI is already customizable...
I customized mine in the beta, and use the same setup today 0_o

Did everyone stick around once the new-MMO-smell faded? I don't personally know anyone who bothered with it so can't really tell how it's doing.

I love it. I play WoW less and less. LoTR is a really solid, cool game.

Speaking of which, they need a chicken MMO.
