Congrats!

Here in Canada, the Core is only $10 more than the Wii...

The Wii has outsold both the PS3 and 360 combined for a while now. These price cuts should work towards slowing that though.

It seems like Sony is going to need to drop their price again, because considering the cheapest PS3 is $499 and with the 360 Core at $249 and so many cross-platform games the uneducated parents buying presents for kids would not even look twice at the PS3.

I'm strictly talking about Australia. In previous months the PS3 was first in sales at least once.

buying a core is like becoming a man with no balls. MS iin some point and time is going to phase out the core soon then it will require you to need HDD eventually. why do this to your brothers from down under MS whats the use of live then if your memory card is too small to hold all the great arcade games or try out all the demos. the core contradics every thing MS stands for at this point and time. with a core your not able to experince everything the 360 has to offer. why buy it. i dont get it after seeing the elite i would immediatly kill off the core before its too late. what percent owns cores.

Is this actually a price cut for the Pro console. Have'nt JBhifi in Australia has been selling the X360 console for $579 for about 8 months now. Come on MS give us a real price cut.

JB are always going to sell at a cut price to get business, that's how they roll. So when EB drops their (way too expensive) prices to the same leve JB had we could see a $500 premium system. ;)

a lot of my friends have been waiting for that kind of price and i'm getting sick of carting mine around so bring it on.

Australia always gets jacked on pricing.
