I wish they would do the same with Shadowrun. A game focusing on multiplayer without split-screen play is ridiculous. (Not local play, but at least two gamertags on one console playing online)

Will this update come to PC as well? I use my 360 controller on the PC version, so 2 controllers should work too -- right?

If its an optional update Ill opt to miss it. I hate split-screen anything. I thought Live would put an end to split-screen gaming. I have a big as hell widescreen TV too and I cant stand it. Lets take a great epic high def experience and smash it down to fit your idiot friend on screen.

Not my cup of tea.

I just traded this game on Goozex with the intention to buy it back when it's in the bargain bin. It doesn't have a lot of replay value for $50 but for half price I'll gather all the achievements it offers.

"I hate split-screen anything. I thought Live would put an end to split-screen gaming."

Let me be the first to say: umm, what?!

Dear God I hope Live doesn't put an end to split-screen gaming. Some of us have real friends (meaning in "real life") who can't afford to lug their HDTVs and Xbox 360s over to your place whenever they want to join in on an FPS.

Seriously though, you might want to reconsider your comment.

Im not reconsidering anything. I cant stand it. All of my REAL friends also happen to have HDTVs and Live subscriptions. Only one guy still likes the split screen stuff but he spends all of his time in his basement getting high so he never sees any of us. Split-screen is the only way he gets any human companionship. Maybe if I sat in the dark and played video games for 3, 6, 8 hours a day Id feel different but my human interaction comes in other forms than sitting in a room and squinting at the lower corner of a screen until I realise my guy is on the top left.

It was acceptable when I was 14. Not in my 30's.

Its not exactly human interaction if they ARENT THERE! At least you can chat with them, but whats fun of "hanging out" if you arent even with anybody.

thisguyrighthere, you are dumb.

"I hate split-screen anything. I thought Live would put an end to split-screen gaming."

I am actually speechless at how retarded it is of you saying that.

I can understand what he's saying -- that games now shouldn't simply settle for split-screen, instead offering Live compatibility -- but really, you can have both.

There are benefits to each and one will not and should not kill off the other.

I have to agree with Thisguyrighthere (#4 & #8) I despise split screen gaming. I use a HD projector onto a 6ft screen and even then I can't hack playing split screen.

I paid good money for the screen, 360 and Live - why wouldn't I want it all to myself? And it makes 'versus' play virtually impossible because you can see where the other person is/what the other person is doing just by looking at their half of the screen.

Completely spoils the experience for me, IMHO.

(And yes, I have real friends whom I meet face-to-face but when it comes to playing with/against them I'd much rather play them in their own homes while I'm in mine.)

Y'know, the best argument for split screen gaming is one very simple word. Spouse. If you have a wife girlfriend whatever who likes to game too, they usually love to play with you. Sure the two of you can go out and party or head back to the bedroom, but sometimes it's just fun to relax and let out a "OWNED!!" in the company of someone you love. Equally anyone with a desire to bond further with a friend or family member will find instant comfort in split screen. In what other way can you bond by simply watching screens and simply yelling out "WHO IS THE MAN!?!?" Once you've gotten a running riot off your newb dad. I mean Video games have potential to bring gamers of all shapes and sizes together. Wii realized that and look at their console sales. Any game that caters to online and in-home multiplayer will win out over even it's toughest competition.

PS: "sitting in a room and squinting at the lower corner of a screen until I realise my guy is on the top left. " Clearly the problem is just that you suck and not that split screen is no good. I mean how do not notice which screen you're in? Even for a casual gamers if you've been playing since 14 that's unacceptable. You should be less worried with this debate and more worried over if you're gonna forget how to breathe in your sleep...
