[Update: Well, not so much.]
Sure, once it had downloaded, 360 gamers may have loved playing the BioShock demo earlier this week. But we wonder if it made them feel a little uneasy, as if someone was watching. That wasn't just atmosphere, console gamers: That was the feeling of hundreds of thousands of PC gamers with their noses pressed against the window, trying to catch a glimpse. But take heart, oft-neglected PC fans, your demo is coming tomorrow.
ShackNews is reporting that you'll be able to put your plasmid-scarred mitts on your playable introduction to Rapture tomorrow at FileShack. We're not sure what other sources will be offering it, but we doubt it'll be too hard for you to dig up. In the meantime, would you mind cleaning the smudges off the glass?
[Thanks, Jubby]

When does this come out on Dreamcast?

September. They needed a month to upgrade the graphics and physics.

Hmm, the thing that frustrates me about this is that all the console people are patting themselves on the back like they know something we don't know. They may have played the Bioshock demo first, be we f.*ing played SS and SS2.

Yeah, because us console owners don't own a PC and never played systemshock.

Yeah...something like that. It's just annoying how PC gaming always takes the back seat these days.

shamgar, I really think what you're detecting is a completely false sense of superiority. I see not comments by any Xbox 360 owners which would indicate that they think they're better than you are or "know something you don't." Seems like you're offended a little too easily.
In fact, it's been my experience that PC gamers tend to be the conceited ones with the inferiority complexes.

We're not all like that, Hare, only the loud ones. The smart ones don't whine, they just wait.

heh, yeah. I'm lucky enough to have a brother with a 360 so I played the demo on his set. I played System Shock 2 and unlike the unwarrantably smug 360 owners, and I've been there are done that with all of the things that seem so new to our pad wielding chums.
It's nice to be able to say "Yep, THAT'S a Shock game!" Oh, until I can tell diffent with the full game:
Shodan > Ryan. Shodan is the best baddie in a video game EVER IMO!

Would be nice to get it on Steam, especially if we could preload it. But since its only a day a way I can't see that happening.

i played through the demo for the first time last night. it is truly magnificent. the only thing that bothered me was the arm/hand animations. they moved way too much and were too bright against the dark background. other than that ... i enjoyed the show. did i read 70 different types of plasmids ??? that will be cool.

The link's been updated to say that there's no confirmed release date for the demo, so it looks like it's not coming tomorrow after all.

Great to hear the demo for PC is finally coming out. I'm debating if I should get the game on PC or Xbox 360 (I own both, both are in the same room), though I am definitely leaning towards the PC version since I have nice hardware, like a Core 2 Duo running at 2.6GHz, GeForce 8800 GTS, X-Fi XtremeGamer, WD Raptor X, etc. and would more than likely look, run and sound better on my PC. But I will finally know how it will run on my PC tomorrow.
I've played though the Xbox 360 demo and its definitely worth the hype they gave it, it seems like an excellent game so far. Deep and unique story with several twists, some interesting game play elements and whatnot and something about it keeps on making me want to keep on playing it over and over. The game has depth as well as kind of a "freaky" factor to it as well. I can definitely imagine that this game would get 9.2-9.6 ratings, and that's just from playing the demo.

Yea, I just noticed they said there's no "confirmed date". Figures too, wonder why they have the final code done but delaying the demo due to "testing with compatibility with drivers" and whatnot. I thought they would have that done already with the final version...

Whats with all this PC vs Console crap. I own both and have been a PC gamer since the Sinclair ZX81 and a console gamer since the Atari console days. The two groups are not mutually exclusive.
Both are great but for most games these days the console version wins for me. The advantages of a 50in screen, Dolby Digital sound with a kick arse home theatre, a comfy couch and gamerpoints more than makes up for the few PC advantages. Plus a 360 console costs less than a great video card.
I played SS2 on the PC and it is my favourite game of all time.

Don't know, personally I think both have their pluses and minuses, and I enjoy games on PC and on consoles (I own a Xbox 360 and a Wii). I don't know some PC gaming fanboys will think anything on a console sucks, and vice versa for console-based fanboys. Personally, I just think if the game is good, play it, and games is all that matters on a platform.

Since you mentioned the hands, did you notice that the Incinerate plasmid heat-distorts the view near your hand. Great little touch on detail.
Now if only one can incinerate the great big piles of poop lying around. No, I'm not sick, I just think the fire effects are awesome.

The Shacknews site is not stating that there is "No longer a confirmed release date for a Bioshock PC demo"
wtf?

If you can get your puter to play it at 1024x768 you're probably meeting what the 360 version will do. I'd be amazed if xbox can run it at 1080
