Sega bringing Shinobi III, Landstalker to Virtual Console
When an announcement like this is made, your mind probably begins to wander to the inevitable question: Who would win in a fight, Nigel the treasure hunter or Joe Musashi? Joe Musashi or ... Nigel? Here's our rule of thumb: If a fight would be decided as soon as the fighters' names were read aloud, it's probably not worth worrying about.

Gawdamn they are milking this VC thing out!
Why not right?...its a bottomless well.
Jerk Face @ Aug 17th 2007 9:56AM
Well.. yeah. They're not going to release a limited amount of games and just STOP. That's kind of the idea.

Nice graphics.

Dear Sega,
Please remake Shinobi for all the next-gen systems.
Thank you,
Sam
P.S.: Don't let Sonic Team do it. They suck.

Great list from Sega....now all I need is Revenge of Shinobi, Lighting Force, and E-Swat and I'm good to go.

Shinobi III?! This is why the VC is a success in my eyes. Once in a while they whip out true gems.
I lost my copy of Shinobi III in the Great Move of '94. I can't wait for this one.

holy crap do i love shinobi 3. holy. crap. i actually still have my genesis hooked up just so i can play it once in a while. and if i didn't, this might actually be the title that finally made me buy a wii. seriously.

If anyone here has not played Shinobi 3, hopefully that video can give you a GLIMPSE of what a platformer/action masterpiece is. The art is amazing even by modern standards, the music and controls are perfect, and you are a fucking ninja.
Get this game now. Ninja Gaiden has NOTHING on this, where you are more of an actual ninja, and not, say, a prostitute.

Couldn't have said it better myself. :]
Though the game easily rivals a NG Hurricane Pack toward the end with those insane levels(i.e., the stage with the falling boulders to rabbit jump repeatedly back and forth upon).
And c'mon... the soundtrack was downright *superb* for the 16bit era. Couple this game with the STREETS OF RAGE trilogy for VC and I'd personally be content.

It is a great game. I have it for PSP in the Sega Genesis Collection $19.99 ebgames.com

Would I have to have a PSP for that? Ew.
