I forget who said they lived in Philly, but I live right outside the city, (Bucks Co.) and I can attest that none of my buddies have 360's either. Lot's of PS2's though...Maybe it's that lousy delaware river water :P
Christopher Grant @ Aug 18th 2007 2:17PM
I never considered the water before ... you may be onto something.

I feel your pain Chris, my 360 died too. I got a nice picture of it here:

You guys keep mentioning listener emails but what's your email? Only way to contact Joystiq I see is the tips link.
eubep @ Aug 18th 2007 6:01PM
Sigh I just got the email at the very end

Right so I just listened to the reader questions of the podcast. And thanks Christopher Grant I'd love a shirt. A XX or 3X is much preferable. I have no idea if in the future you can make a shirt of Mario edits. If it was Ball the freaking ninjas would always win. It happened in Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for DS by Square Enix.
Chris, I did this fast but here: http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa81/hvnlysoldr/d98d20a0.jpg
And to tie it all together I submitted a question and it was read in the podcast and the answer is "Pirates wore eye patches for night vision."

Almost on time three weeks in a row. Don't worry I'll let it slide :)

On the 360 disk drive burning out.
So instead of just eating the cost of another 360.
WHy not just lie? 360 support won't check. You just tell them that when you boot a game you get RROD.. "if" they test it, they'll think they broke the drive.
If you don't want it to be a lie, then wrap your 360 in a towel, and leave it on for a few days. That should break it with RROD.
Its win, win. If you do buy a new console, just get the Best Buy no questions asked replacement warranty. Then swap it for a 65nm when it comes out.
Just trying to help.

On there being no Metroid commercials yet I have noticed and I do watch a good amount of TV that most don't start running until at least a week before the game comes out. So far only Halo 3 has had this much ads so far in advanced. Even Bioshock commercials only started soon after the demo was released.
And game news outlets are getting full copies of MP3 or have already got them. I know that IGN, 1UP, and Games Radar all have copies. Games radar even has the full first hour of the game up. So we should be hearing more next week.
theCardinal @ Aug 19th 2007 8:12AM
I've started pre-loading Bioshock on Steam after your heavy endorsement!

My Xbox 360 DVD drive went the way of the Dodo too about 2 weeks ago. Could they have devised the 360 any worse?

If you could change the MP3 link on future podcasts from "www.joystiq.com" to "podcasts.joystiq.com" I would appreciate it. My work blocks me from accessing www.joystiq.com but NOT from accessing podcasts.joystiq.com.
