Even though I have the game preloaded, nearly 7Gb of a game I may or may not buy, this demo requires an additional 1.8Gb

What in the HELL is wrong with these people. How hard is it to make the demo use the resources I've already downloaded? Not everyone has a 600Gb hard drive...

Wow you might have just broke the intertubes... the demo and the game are two seperate things... you download them seperatly... because the full game is not required to play the demo... because its a demo... and one more set of ... for good measure

I've been gaming in widescreen for years now....it's not that uncommon for the viewing to be cropped for 16x9....all the GTAs do it, both God of Wars, and I'm sure a bunch of others, never impaired my gaming....

It doesn't ENHANCE your gaming, either....and that's the entire point of having a widescreen resolution when gaming.

Played through the demo last night and was happily impressed. Ran well at high settings on my 3+ yr old machine too.

The opening scene alone was amazing...I actually felt like I was getting vertigo while drifting in the water. Very cool effects, and a stunningly beautiful game.

Picking up the PC version today at lunch, and looking forward to seeing how badly I can mutate my hand.

The game ran awesome for me on my PC(AMD x2 3800, 2gb PC3200, 7800GT 256MB)at high level detail and 1280x1024.
I'm glad too cause I needed a new PC game to play. :)

Played both the 360 and PC demos through last night twice each:

360: Runs at a good framerate didn't notice any stuttering but it does this by running at a lower resolution with lower res textures and Global lighting. The game looks good.

PC: Just like the 360 version except for higher rez, higher res textures and the biggest deal lighting is way improved over the 360.

Not sure if the PC version looks better due to DX 10 shaders and lighting or if the DX9 version can look just as good as that on PC.

However what really immersed me in the 360 version and it surprised me was actually the Rumble. When you get your first plasmid power the controller vibrates so violently that even when it stops your hands still tingle afterwards. That was truely cool, never though much of rumble but it was used to great effect in that scene. Also I don't have surround sound on my PC yet so that would be a bonus to the 360 version but I've got an external box that I can do SS with so it should be fine.

The PC Demo is working fine for me.

My specs:

Core 2 duo
6800GT 256 MB
2 Gigs Ram

When I installed it, a message said some of my nVidia drivers should be updated - and it did that automatically. Demo is incredible, beautiful, no problems at all - I am stunned, a little overwhelmed and scared silly lol. My only wish is too bad I can't use my non-XBox 360 joystick with it. Think I'll go buy a wired 360 controller for this game.
