I LOVE when console makers "steal" the successful features from the other consoles. Just imagine, someday we will have a console that does graphics, disc format, online structure, rumble, motion, avatar creation, gamertags, media center, demos, online arcade, classic gaming, and library diversification right without all of the red rings, wallet-raping, or mini-game madness.

... a man can dream ...

They have that already. It's called "real life."

Oooooh! Deep and heavy, man! Deep and heavy!

Wallet Raping?, With that you mean the Guitar hero 2 packs, the unnecessary maps, game modes, weapons and upgrades that should be into the games already like in the case of crackdown or there is something I should know about the PSN?.

Wallet-raping = micropayments from all content providers + higher than last-gen console costs

Good artists borrow. Great artists steal.

I know it's useless, but I want to add my two cents.
It should be noted that this token feature is just an extension of something that's been in place since the first Metroid Prime. 100% map and 100% scans. All they did was expand this system into something more piece meal with choices rather than just reaching percentages.

I can't believe it took till the second page for someone to point this out.

The fact that you all think this is similar to Xbox's acheivements (officially the most useless feature ever) just shows how far gone you all are.

The real achievement is Samus sans Power Suit.

I don't see how it's copying at all. If all Nintendo games required it and all it did was show how many tokens you have, then yeah, it'd be a rip off, but it's one game and you trade them in for in game bonuses. That kind of stuff has been around forever.

While you guys are bickering, I was down at EB games playing the demo, which is actually the full game, minus the sound, but still sweet.

Hmmm.. this is not really that new, Bounty Hunter for the GameCube also had a bonus unlock system, though it was not as complex as this. So no, this is not the first time Nintendo has dabbled in the art of Bonuses.
