Bioshock...meh. Can't wait for Halo 3, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6 and PGR4. I'll even have enough money for them when they come out!

I've been back and forth deciding whether or now I should buy this game. I'm more of a multiplayer type of a gamer, so I'll probably just rent it. Though I'm not taking anything from the game, I'm sure it's going to be an excellent title. But multiplayer games last a little bit longer for me. (I'm not into getting every single achievemnt, etc.)

I can not wait for this game... I'm planning on playing through it and getting as many of the realistic achievments as possible and even helping my girl through it if she asks... I love halo and can't wait for 3... but honestly... I dunno. After I play both games through I'll decide which would get my vote or GOTY... Although... Assassins Creed looks pretty sweet too... oh the pain in the wallet....

Whatever. Im getting the collectors edition tomorrow as soon as the gamestop I have it reserved at gets it. Multiplayer wouldn't really work for this type of game with the game play and setting and all that. ZOMG cant wait!

blockbuster 1 week rental. $12.99
late fees. : $0.00
game finished and returned within 45 days
restocking fee: $1.75.

not wasting $69.99 on a single-player only-game: priceless.

Intentles, how old is your kid? If shes not at least 17, I would highly consider rethinking letting her play it, unless you want her to be waking you up from nightmares and want her exposed to the gore and all, But, thats just me

I could be wrong, but when he said "my girl" i think he meant a girlfriend.. not a child.. either way, i agree that should be at least 17.

when he said "his girl" I read it as "his girlfriend" ...

not sure tho.

(doubt someone would let their little girl play Bioshock, wouldn't want them turning into a Little Sister, would he =)

I have asked in various threads and also emailed them the last copy in the giveaway. I have come to the conclusion that someone "yoinked" that last copy and now they are conveniently not responding. Oh well, I am getting the Limited Edition anyways but who can pass up free!

Lol his @ "woman". Blockbuster has had a new policy in place for a couple years now, they only charge for a restocking fee. If you don't return it within 1 month then you have to purchase it.

Lol xenocidic my intention was not to bash on single player games. IMO Bioshock is one of the best games made for Xbox360, and I agree that multiplayer does not fit with this game. I was only implying that I would rather rent, beat it, beat it again, return it, then pick up my Legendary.

This game is definitely not a waste of money.

@trashman, yea sorry i should have explained that a little better. blockbuster in Canada (USA too, I think) has "no late fees" , so after the 7 days , you can keep it for 7 days, then they post it to your account as a sale, then you have 30 days to return it, and pay a "restocking fee" to reverse the "sale" transaction.

also @trashman, I just don't see this game having huge replayability - without multiplayer, 45 days should give me enough time to finish the game and it's related cheevos.

lolz! Nice, DjDATZ. I also rent some games to try them out first if there isn't a demo for it. I will be renting blue dragon even though there is a demo for it, but im kinda confused as how the battles work cause the demo doesn't really explain how they work at all. If I like it, I will get it. Also, im kinda iffy on getting it before really trying it out cause of the reviews

About the last BioShock winner:

Just so everyone knows, the reason for the delay of the announcement is that our first winner failed to respond. So, we picked a new winner on Saturday. All we're waiting on is age verification.

As for who won part two, we posted that right here:

BIOSHOCK baby - can't wait. I remember seeing the first snipet of little sister climbing out of that hole and battle between you and big daddy way back when. The demo draws me in I just want to see more and explore. The reviews say it all - this is going to rock! Circuit City tomorrow or price matching if they sell out.

I was alittle pissed when I found out that Bio Shocks Se was to come in a regular case and not the metal case. A Se case like Halo 2, Doom 3 or Prey would have been nice.

@20

You get 30 days to return the game after it's due back, and if you do so, you pay only the restocking fee. So 30 days + the two week rental = about 45 days for $14.75. If you go beyond 30 days after the due date, you bought it.

I think.

Total rental?

So far the reviews for this game place it on average as the best game to come out on the 360... how does that make it a total rental?

This game SHOULDN'T have multiplayer, period. Why does no one seem to understand that?

agreed so hard with you. based off the plasmid powers it'd make the game totally imbalanced.

take away those for multiplayer then it'd be just a boring deathmatch. like doom. it's the AI that makes the game so great.

adding multiplayer to this would be like when they added multiplayer to Metroid Prime 2: extremely tacky and would sorely damn it as a unique single player experience.

so remember kiddies like Metroid Prime 2, multiplayer can hurt a game's reputation as well!!
