Too Human release date and demo 'coming soon'
According to TooHuman.net, Silicon Knights founder Denis Dyack looked up from a huge mound of legal documents on Friday just long enough to leave a brief message on the site's forum regarding the release of Too Human. "It is always darkest before the dawn," said Dyack. "Too Human will be out in 2008. A firm date with tons of new info is coming soon." Given the many delays and uncertainties suffered by the sci-fi actioner since its unveiling, "soon" isn't a word we feel comfortable translating to any sort of time frame (we asked Microsoft to do it instead). While we await further details, consider Dyack's next statement: "[The new info] will be followed up with a playable demo. The demo will speak for itself." Without stuttering, one would think.
[Update: Microsoft confirms a 2008 release date, but hasn't "made any announcements regarding a demo."]

Nobody's going to get excited about this game right now. Wait until early next year, and polish up that demo.
Stevo @ Aug 20th 2007 12:50PM
I'm excited--have been for a while now. I'm hoping they fixed some of the graphical issues-- but I'd imagine this is going to turn out being a great game.

I'm REALLY Looking forward to this game. Have been for a while.
with all the screens, the concepts, and ideas behind it and how the gameplay and story will pan out it sounds amazing, plus silicon knights is a good dev. I don't understand how anyone who likes action games could not be excited. it's gonna pwn
Radicoon @ Aug 20th 2007 12:55PM
I'm waiting for this game to disappoint, because honestly I have some pretty high expectations. Following up Eternal Darkness won't be easy, but given the time they've had... well, I can hope =)

Denis will probably release the demo, people won't like it, then he'll whine and cry and say he was forced to release the demo 'before it was ready'. This game better shine or Denis and SK will look really foolish.
That said, I really hope it rocks, I'm looking forward to it!

I only want the demo as a prove of it existence,This game has been delayed a lot.
I mean this is considered vaporware in SW forums.
Pureshooter @ Aug 20th 2007 1:10PM
I'm very cautiously optimistic. I hope it's great, but this is very much a "wait and see" title.
Jake @ Aug 20th 2007 1:31PM
I am very confident that this will be a very good game, IF it releases. I am more concerned it never will come out than I am for it to come out and suck.
The graphics are great. Concept is great. Gameplay is said to be fun by a few people who got a hands on with it. And it is Silicon Knights making the thing.
With that said, how the hell can I be excited about it when Halo, MassEffect, Bioshock, and many others will be gracing the 360 this year.
ZenGaijin @ Aug 20th 2007 1:44PM
I dunno what it is about this game but seeing it doesn't impress me but I'll till the demo to reserve judgment.
Zeruel @ Aug 20th 2007 1:58PM
By the time this game releases no one will care.
This is all talk, and it has been for awhile now. I'll be surprised to see a demo, let alone the final product by 12/31/08.
Raistlin @ Aug 20th 2007 2:52PM
I've been waiting for this for a couple of years now and can't wait for the demo. I might be disappointed, considering my own hype, but I might also be pleasantly suprised too. Plus, there is an abundance of games for 2007 so the 2008 date doesn't bother me. Come on SK, don't fail me now.
JL @ Aug 20th 2007 3:24PM
Cool name!
AoE @ Aug 20th 2007 3:11PM
Dyack and his big mouth have pissed me off to the point that I really just don't care. I'll probably download the demo just to see how far the game falls short of what Dyack & co have promised... but man I hope this game bankrupts SK.

Couldn't doing anything of the sort be a bad idea while the suit is still out there (unless they are 90% sure they will win)? I mean, if they lose the counter-suit thrown at them by Epic, doesn't that mean they have to scrap the game engine, and start over?
It would also create a problem for the owners of any content they released while the suit was still pending

Considering that this game has been in the tubes since the PS One days, it seems like it has vaporware written
all over it. I don't really understand the hype but I still want to play it because it is from the same guys who made Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for Gamecube.
Here is the original PSX preview from IGN.

And don't forget Eternal Darkness!
Silicon Knights does good work, just so little of it

I guess you could say it's coming "too soon". Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk.
