VC Monday Madness video wrap-up 8/20/07

It took us a lot longer than we initially would have liked, but we finally bring forth our video for this week. As you can imagine, our minds are focused mostly on Super Metroid. But the inclusion of Shinobi III is a nice extra and not to be overlooked, either. All in all, great work as far as Virtual Console content goes.


Shinobi III is a great game. Sadly, it released to the Virtual Console the same week as Super Metroid, which most will likely be setting aside their hard-earned dough for. But, if you can find another 8 bucks laying around, we advise you check it out.


Neutopia is a Zelda clone if we ever saw one. Right down to the game's music, which is highly reminiscent of the first Legend of Zelda game. Still, what we've seen was fun, but with this week's releases, it fails to validate itself.

Oh, we finally come to the amazing Super Metroid. Our favorite entry in the franchise's long and amazing career, the game not only presents large areas to explore, but also a gripping story. It's ... we just can't begin to tell you how great this game is. And with next week's release of Metroid Prime 3, there's nothing better way(save for playing through Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2) to keep the mood going. Download it immediately.
