King of Kong director eyeing Christmas flick next

With a feature remake of King of Kong still in the works, director Seth Gordon appears to be close to picking his next project: A Christmas comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon called Four Christmases. You've probably already guessed this, but it's about a couple both with divorced parents who are trying to go to ... four Christmases. ... Stop it. You're splitting our sides.

We don't think we're alone when we count this as the most disappointing film choice since Carrot Top went from not being in movies to Chairman of the Board. That being said, if this leads to Vince Vaughn playing Billy Mitchell in the Kong film, it's more than worth it.

The movie itself will be meh, probably interesting though if you like video games. Howard stern played clips from it yesterday and it sounded absolutely hilarious.

I was thinking Ben as well. Unless perhaps you go for Chuck Norris but I think people would think it's another Missing In Action movie.

King of Kong was a great movie. I saw it in Seattle with Steve. He had a Q&A after the movie. He mentioned that Newline Cinema bought the rights to the movie - and that Jack Black wants to play Steve.

Agreed, this movie was awesome and everyone who likes video games should go see it (even if, scratch that, ESPECIALLY if you don't know anything about arcade games). It wasn't just a tongue-in-cheek "hey look at the nerds" kind of thing. It was actually well shot and well edited. The scene with Steve's home movies and the wax pencil blew me away.

I saw it in Austin and we had an appearance by Steve, too. They even set up a machine in the lobby and had a tourney.

Anyone heard anything about "Chasing Ghosts"? I'm hoping it will provide me with another Billy Mitchell fix.
