New Track & Field spotted for DS
While strolling through the event halls of the Leipzig Games Convention, the folks at 1UP snapped some pictures of a display for New International Track & Field, an apparent DS sequel to everybody's favorite foray into athletic verisimilitude. Judging by the images, the game is developed by Super Rub 'a' Dub's Sumo Digital and is likely to be announced by Konami later this week, potentially for additional platforms.
We'll let you know what to expect (aside from a heavy presence of tracks and fields) as soon as an announcement is made.

I have sweet memories with my dad playing on the Power Pad. I knew to jump off the pad then back on but not using my hands to punch it. It just won't be the same punching my DS.

I pity the poor DSs have the stylus beating down on them at near lightning speed.

I picture people half bent over with the DS against their leg pounding on the A button with all their fury.

My only memory of the power pad is using it to play track and field one day while my uncle and his girlfriend were watching me when I was a little kid. Hours later I was in bed asleep and awoke to some nice projectile vomiting from a nice case of the flu.
