Wii Warm Up: If it could be anyone ....

A reader who is as excited about Super Smash Bros. Brawl as we are suggested this excellent question to get the day started: if you could see anyone in the game, any character at all, who would you want? Or are you pretty satisfied with the current roster? That's a pretty tough one ... there are a lot of characters out there. Comedic answers will earn you both bonus points and respect.

Is Kawashima in it? He could always stall things by making everybody do an unskippable drawing sequence, before reacting inconclusively to your childish scribbles of the horn of Africa.

'I see...' However he has his weaknesses (Glasses Glasses! He loses all control!), or Samus in her 'Blue' suit. Or was that brew?

Megaman would be pretty sweet, especially since he has rather unique physics. Along those same lines, Jeff from the Earthbound (Mother) series would be pretty sweet too.

You know what? I'd also like to beat the shit out of George W. Bush with Jigglypuff.
Just shy of having the President as a playable character, however, I would settle for playable Mii characters.

As soon as it was revealed that Yasunori Mitsuda was one of the composers for the game I began to hold out hope that KOS-MOS would be one of the playable characters in the game. Didn't a while back Nintendo take control of Monolith Soft or something too?

Some of my favorite picks that I'm sure would never happen but would be pretty cool to see nonetheless:

But they annouced already that Metal Ridley would be a playable character!

But props to Samfish for Viewtiful Joe! I would love to see more of our favorite 2.5D Hero. Espically since there are no plans for the final Viewtiful Joe 3 game... sniff

I think there should be a commonplace enemy or a boss character from each franchise represented by a hero. So there could be a Space Pirate from Metroid (metroids would be to unbalanced, I think), King K Rool or one of the grunts of DKC, etc. They would have to be creative to decide on who the character-foils would be for some of the current players.

Bub and/or Bob from "Bubble Bobble" would be fun with the bubble powers (and a special move for shooting the fire blasts)

Honestly, the chances the game incorporates a "Mii" as a character are probably high. Sure the moves would be standardized but a player that looks different for everyone, simple to create and to put into the game, and can be used online screams that Miis would be included.

Geno. Hands down. One of the least represented characters in the Nintendo world (although, he is technically owned by Squeenix) and a perfect match for Brawl in both moveset, fanservice, and insanity.
