They stopped it because the trailer would have revealed that MGS4 is coming to the 360.
Hideo made a secret agreement with Microsoft to make MGS4 exclusive to the 360 just like Paramount did with HD-DVD.

Actually Hideo told me that it will ship on 14 DVD9's. You can play the game backwards.

i heard they'll actually be shipping 14 DVD9s. 7 discs for the game and 7 backup discs incase you get the Ring of Disc Death.

If it's on 7 Dvd9, then it'll be on 2 Blu-ray discs... simple math people, simple math.

The trailer Kotaku posted is new to me, though I may be wrong. I don't know anything about the audio since this is filmed from the show floor and the obnoxious music drowns out any sound from the monitor.

Sarcasm aside, it's gonna be like Christmas in quarter 1-2 2008. Killzone2, GT5, MGS4, LBP. A far cry from the slip pickings of quarter 1-2 of 2007.

The trailer is coming to PSN in all it's HD glory, so this hardly matters. I wouldn't want to watch it in SD, anyway.
As far as MGS4 on 360, I don't think they'll make that announcement at least a few months until the PS3 version releases.
