The Orange Box continues to be the value bundle of the year. With Half-Life 2, Episodes 1 and 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 -- that's a lot of value in a little box, especially if you've never played Half-Life 2. We're definitely looking forward to seeing more of these clips, even if we don't think we'll stand a chance in an online match with the actual game.

One of the things that makes Team Fortress the greatest online shooter franchise ever is the fact that it has an easy learning curve, and is pretty n00b-friendly.
In my first days of playing Team Fortress:Classic, I played primarily defensive roles. HWGuy, Demoman, Engineer were great ways to get acquainted with the game and be reasonably successful. I slowly graduated to support roles (Medic) and stealth roles (Spy), before I was ready to jump in the fray and play fragfest offense.
It's an incredibly versatile and well-balanced franchise. I am still much more excited about this game than the other shooter coming out next month.

This was awesome. Great writing, great editing and direction, even the one time they showed his eyes, they were focused properly. Another example of next-er gen, we're finally getting the ability to make fun of ourselves.
Now if we can have a game like this with humor like this throughout...
Oh, wait-- here comes Ratchet and Clank!

lol awesome, though heavy was still better. I'm expecting the Spy or Sniper to be the best, though.

If the heavy was Russian, the solider should have been German.

Nah, he HAD to be an American meat head. I bet the medic will be German, and if the spy isn't English then there's something wrong with the world.

If the spy is british its too cliche.. I think the spy should be chinese.. in line with the spy that replaced bart back in season 16... whatever happened to the real bart? "Don't eat a cow stupid father man!"

I would like to send a message to the blathering idiots that talk about the Next Gen animation in Heavenly Sword, Mass Effect, the PS3 Rain demo and the upcoming Fable 2...br>
Valve makes you look like you are animating sock puppets.
THIS...right here, is next gen animation that is actually believable. Bravo!

i'm almost ashamed to say this, but a while back i fell off the radar for a few years as far as videogames go. i never played any of the half-life games or CS or anything, but i am getting pretty excited about the orange box. i downloaded a HL2 demo from steam and am amazed.
will the orange box include the whole Half Life franchise?

Sorry for my lack of PC game culture... I had never been properly introduced to the platform. Wasn't there with all of the half-life mods (like Counterstrike).
Just checked Team Fortress Classic a bit online... I guess I'm more interested in Team Fortress 2 (despite not being a reknown graphic whore) because I think that the smoothness of the character models do a better job accentuating its comic humour.
