Like a shady character trying to sell you something near the street corner to a Manhattan nightclub, Atari announced today that they're releasing Atari Classics Evolved this fall for the PSP. Depending on your level of PSP game withdrawal and desperation for fun, you may consider this compilation of 60 original Atari 2600 games like Asteroids, Centipede and Pong which will be offered in original and "evolved" graphics.Looks like Atari is trying to cash in quickly on their old name following their reported a $70 million loss this year. They may also want to announce this thing for the Nintendo DS to. It's not like this compilation is going to be a system seller. Atari is probably best off playing the spread.
