Seems like a practical decision - there's gonna be 360 users that have a guitar controller from GHII that can actually enjoy the full experience - PS3 users would be stuck strumming their SixAxis which prolly wouldn't sell the game as much...

Well... it might be slightly anti-climactic for PS3 users to play without a guitar

Those guys above me beat me to it. Theres no PS3 compatible guitar to play the demo with.

the PS2 guitars at best play without hammer ons and pull offs.

The adapter doesn't allow for hammer ons and pull offs...it would be a bad representation of the product.

On Hard or Expert, using the controller is balls hard. I'm a lot better with the guitar than controller

The achievement list for Guitar Hero III was released yesterday, at least a couple of them involve completing songs and careers with only the standard controller (named "Button Masher" and "Buy A Guitar Already"). Hilarious.

Dualshock is easier.

I can't even begin to play Expert with a guitar, but give me a controller and, bam, five stars on Hangar 18.

I'm still working on Misirlou though.

The whole inuendo of this article is that there's some sort of PS3/360 inequity. And the only reason you'd do that is to incite some ill-conceived fanboy flamewars.

Anyone smarter than a post is going to see there's little logic in producing a demo for which there is no suitable controller in place.

While I agree there is no reason for the demo with no controller widely in place - your method of stating that ("smarter than a post") was quite rude itself. Aren't you a 'pot calling the kettle black' in jumping on Joystiq?

I didn't get that innuendo at all.

Sounds like someone was looking to be offended.

Great way to get people to touch Tony Hawk. Personally with Skate coming out, TH franchise has officially died in my eyes. Maybe I'll gamefly it to try out the new songs.

They need to get PS2 guitar adapter out for the PS3 ASAP. My PS2 is broken so I can't play GH1 or 2 on my PS3. Not to mention I never even got to TRY Guitar Hero 80's.

Where is the damn adapter already?

Exactly what I was hoping for. Been talking about this for about a month while playing some Gears with my friends... It wouldn't have made sense to release it for GHII, but this makes perfect sense.

That's 1 more for Microsoft.

God, every shot of this game I see, I instantly think, "Y'know... Judy Nails would be soooo much better if only they made her look like a used up hooker...."

Tony Hawk Proving Grounds is the new Crackdown.
Hopefully it will be an as worthwhile purchase as that sleeper hit but I doubt it. I am going to put my 5bux down at EB now for the GHIII Demo.

I bought Crackdown for Crackdown. I haven't had that much fun since Vice City.

THPG...Ehhh, I don't know about that. If its control-scheme is like any of the other games, I've already beaten it.

How is it the new Crackdown when the demo is going to XBM as well?
