Get your recording device of choice ready and upload it to YouTube as soon as you can! Former View host Star Jones -- who looks like an entirely different person now -- will be discussing video game violence and legislation on her new CourtTV show at 3PM Eastern.
Leland Yee will will be on the show, who was one of the architects of the destined-to-fail game legislation supported by Gov. Schwarzenegger. No word yet who else will be on the show as Jones' website hasn't even been updated, but GamePolitics got the scoop.

What we need is less people talking about this, really I dont believe she is going to defend videogames unless she plays WOW which I doubt.
I'm sure someone is going to say something that is going to piss off everyone in here who?,well only time can tell.
I wonder if they are going to mention RE5,just saying.

Fortunately, most people aren't actually at home at 3 in the afternoon on a Thursday, so not many will see it.

Well what did you expected?, the woman has 100 years and lives by eating kittens and bathing in the blood of virgins but never say that in front of her or she will rip your heart off with her bare hands.

Its the ignorance of the regular people. And even if we try to explain why games doesnt make violent people, they will not listen.

The problem is, it's a new medium. And this show simply MUST cater to their target audience given the time slot. Soccer Moms and Elderly. Both are confused by new fangled technology. So given this fact, did you expect a fair look? I sure as hell didn't.
Meanwhile, youth violence is continually going down, violence in our society in general is on a decided decline. And the all time low since before WWII according to the FBI's own stats? The very same year GTA:SA came out.
And Star Jones isn't interested in these facts. Nope, she's a fucking carnival barker. She draws your attention away from the trapeze artist securing his "just in case" polyfiber line by pointing out the bear and his amazing tricycle. I mean, seriously... is anybody with a daytime TV show worth a single pigeon squat?

I don't know about the rest of you but when I think of a qualified person to speak on this subject the FIRST name that comes to mind is Star Jones. You are all just a bunch of haters and I'm reporting all of you to Mr. Thompson.

star jones = uncanny valley. seriously--look at the picture. pure cg.
the reason she lost so much weight is because she was never real to begin with.
others think she is a robot. this is possible.

Remember this:
"The Masses are Asses"
No one gave a crap until gaming went mainstream. It's been the same for all popular media from comics to movies. What the industry needs is good PR and reputable studies done into this issue. No matter how much we the uninformed populace is ignorant, it's not going to make them non-ignorant. The industry need to pool together x millions/billions (I'm serious) and get the good PR out there to counteract the bad PR.
How else do you think the drug and fast food industries stay on top when they are producing stuff that's actually killing people?

The good thing is its just a matter of time before all these old ass "celebrities," lawyers, and politicians who didnt grow up playing video games, and consequently know nothing of them, die off and leave us in peace.
Ah, yes, I await those days. Gamers in the White House, MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

When Star was chubby, she had a personality.
When she had all the fat sucked out of her, her personality went with it.
Now she's just a freak of nature.

Wait isn't this the same bitch who was like 1000 pounds before and got surgery to get rid of her fat because she was to lazy and fat to lose it herself. Her PR probably told her to talk about video games so her show which is going to fail miserable will get a couple of more people watching her shit. O yeah, she looks even uglier now that shes skinny.

Doomcloud do you understand what you just said and how me reading that has hurt my brain in ways that can't be spoken in any known language thus the world, rips open and from that dark tainted Maw comes forth the riders of Armageddon itself. To rid the world of that abomination in which you have typed cursing the world into an eternal abyss.
You hear that Doomcloud, that is the flaying on angels wings from their tortured, pain contorted bodies! Their tears searing their own Flesh! Take those words back please, you mean Oprah and Star Jones should beat each other to death, please say you meant that.
