Poor poor GBA. PS3's fire sale finally beat it and the 100 threshold. For a lame duck system it's still holding its own fairly well.

No! We cannot allow the Wii to take over, because eventually it will drain all attention, as it already does to some degree. Think about it; the new console is getting the big stuff from Nintendo; Metroid, Mario, Brawl, and more, and who knows what is planned for the future of both the Wii and the DS. Who knows? Nintendo might just go crazy with the unexpected super success of the Wii and pretty much leave the DS to third parties and occasional 1st party 'meh' titles.

I honestly hope this doesn't happen, but considering the current state of affairs, I wouldn't be surprised; I actually consider the Wii the DS's biggest competitor, even though they are from the same company. It makes sense, too, because time and effort that could be put onto great DS titles is going to Wii game development.

My support goes to the DS; the Wii isn't really for me anyways, and I wish it doesn't take over the gaming world.

I'm curious what the profit margins are on the GBA now. Considering I believe the SPs still sell for around $80 (the micros for $40), and the games are still in the $20-30 range, it must be raking it in. I'm putting the production costs on the GBA at ~$15 tops myself

You got me thinking... how sweet would a Smash Bros. on DS be?

Considering the DS is getting one of the best Zelda games to date, I wouldn't worry about Nintendo forgetting about the DS.

Nintendo already published a game that is like SSB on the DS. It is called Jump Ultimate Stars. It is friking awesome, though very hard to get into if you don't know much Japanese. Online battles, 300 playable characters. Good stuff.
