I hope this fixes my issues with Xbox Live... I get terrible lag in Gears of War, and keep dropping connection with a friend who lives within a few miles! (Although I think the problem's at his end)

I think Live has been working out fairly well, especially given the competition. Of course there will be issues here and there, especially when something major becomes available for the first time to download. It's good to know they are finding ways to improve it even more.

I want my subscription to pay for actual game servers not p2p or the marketplace servers. If not, then make it free.

Come on MS my sub is up in November, I've finally decided to buy Halo3 so don't make me cancel it!

Buying Halo 3 only to cancel your XBL subscription is about the same as buying a car and then refusing to buy gas for it, hehe.

I am surprised at this - the most stable servers in the world can crack at tens of thousands of people queueing up for a 1gb+ file at the same time... and Microsoft's servers always seem so fast and stable (at least, the ones hosting their websites do).

I guess more stability and less problems is always a good thing though, even if I've had very little problems before!

Dedicated servers? No? Then we just get to download demos and overpriced movies faster? whatever.

Paying $50 a year to play multiplayer on what's essentially someone else's Xbox is kind of a rip. Especially since I've been playing on dedicated servers with my PC for free and for years.

Does this have anything to do with IPTV on the 360?

Live works perfectly for me, but there's always room for improvement.

and while we're on the subject of improving the 360, why can't we customize our window/button layouts? I'd make my own window for arcade stuff. Also some of the lists wrap around from top to bottom, and some you have to scroll back to the top. wtf
