Why is 2k games so focused on fixing the things that are wrong with Bio Shock and not getting on the ball with the issues concerning The Darkness?

As far as I can tell just the blister box has a big scuff on it and the very tip of the drill bit is broken off and rattling around in there... Does this count as broken? And unless I'm terribly mistaken this is the same art book you can download and print out yourself...(http://www.2kgames.com/cultofrapture/artbook.html)

@#2
You're familiar perhaps with the term 'polishing a turd'? Or, 'You can't make a silk purse froma sow's ear'? No way The Darkness ever entered into GOTY territory- best if 2K focuses on their real Big Daddy. Seriously- Did you see the size of that thing? I thought the clerk was handing me a full boxed set of Twilight Zones or something when he gave me the LTD Ed box.

@4...I love when people ask questions and idiots like yourself answer them with sarcastic shit like "You're familiar perhaps with the term 'polishing a turd'?" Some people actually dug the Darkness and most of the reviewers did too. Not GOTY but not worth you being a cock either.

@6 that is very unethical for you to do that. 2k is doing us a favor for this, paying for shipping and all, and you are going to exploit them? shame on you.

To be honest - so far - The Darkness has been the better game for me. BioShock hasn't gripped me yet, although I've only played an hour or two.

Quit the flaming.

@10..i'm a cock for trying to get people to answer other people's questions without having to be sarcastic idiots. i love Bioshock so i'm not trying to pick the Darkness over it, but it just sucks that someone might dig the Darkness, but because they bring it up, they have to be condescended. fuck off.

Thanks for that list bigmac375, Unbelievable, haha. Well Ive just finished a 20 hour run on Bioshock, I got the CE this morning (UK) and it rocks. But one thing I noticed is that while a buddy of mine got it in the UK and had a normal plastic case for the game I got the special Steel version for mine? Is this European favouritism for once? Ps. My cat is scared of my Big Daddy!!!

To the person asking why they don't do this for the Darkness. I'd guess it's because it's the DEVELOPER doing this for BioShock, not the publisher. BioShock's developer didn't make "The Darkness."

I wouldn't break my Big Daddy to get the art book, but I wish they'd make the artbook available to buy. I'd pay a few bucks for it.

Congrats FanBoy, you guys picked some real winners for that Bioshock giveaway contest. Yeah, especially when you gave it to people who answered the prompt incorrectly. I don't give a shit if there were 3,000 comments. You get your god damn crew together and split the comments up and find the best one. You don't just randomly select a piece of shit winner just because you are lazy. Next time why don't you tell us that it will be totally random so that some of us don't spend a lot of time thinking of original things as opposed to bull shit like "I'm excited about the Big Daddies!" and something about a kid loving the fact that he forgets he is playing a video game. I hate all of you and none of you are better at Bioshock than I am. Suck it Fanboy, suck it long and hard.

Something tells me you're not better at losing graciously, though. And how the hell do you measure how good you are at BioShock? Presumably, if you can finish the game on hard without dying, you're just as good as someone else who can finish the game on hard without dying. Or are you talking about some kind of speed run? I look forward to your YouTube video, oh zen master of BioShock.

Oh, and it's very obvious if you read the terms and conditions that the winner will be chosen at random.

They should have recalled them while at the videogame stores, where i went to get the collectors edition, the clerk handed it to me and didnt say a word. Even though the arm was broken and rattling. First i thought it was a lose cd. But i opened it in the car and there was the arm broken, Just shows that videogame companies dont want to deal with a recall or simply want their money.

Well let's all be honest here. How many of us actually took the time to read the terms and conditions. All I could take away from the page was "Oh my gosh, they are giving away copies of Bioshock to the gamers who give the most original answer to the challenge "Make us not excited about Bioshock". Now I'm not saying I thought mine was better than everyone elses, but I AM saying that the least they could have done was to pick one that actually followed the given prompt. What is the point of the prompt anyway if the giveaway is going to work just like any other one? Why not just enter our emails and hope for the best? I'm angry because I put thought into mine as I'm sure many others did, and after reading some of the horrendous entries, I'm positive that a lot of gamers felt pretty confident that they might get it. But no, instead they give it to the guy who referred to his wrench as "Mr. Wrenchy". A guy who probably thought, "Aw what the hell, I guess I'll enter this. I mean, it's not like I'll win with this shitty answer." BOOM. Congrats Orignal Jones. Good for you. You got your copy a whole two days early because Fanboy couldn't figure out the legistics of picking four random winners. That's another thing. No fucking excuse as to why it took so long for you guys to pull winners, especially since you pulled them out of a hat. So even the allure of getting a copy several days early was cut short for all of us. One last thing. I only said the thing about being the king of Bioshock because I'd gladly challenge anyone over at Fanboy in a battle of pure skill in fighting a Big Daddy just to prove to them that I don't need their stupid early release copies. The original bird gets the worm. Fanboy gets the middle finger.

i am not reading your bullshit, because thats what it is. it clearly said random, and if you actually post here regularly instead of trolling around everytime you lose a contest, you might know that.

bigmac375, I'm not fully agreeing with Angry Genius, but the posts are misleading. They make it sound like they'll pick the most clever and witty comments when they're just chosen at random.

Hey BigMac, how bout' you answer my question about why there was a prompt in the first place if it was completely random anyway, since you apparently know everything and I'm the only one in the dark about it. I await your wisdom and tutelage.

Angry genius,

That's a good point about how the contests should be run. I guess I assumed everyone knew how they were run because I usually at least skim the terms and conditions of anything I sign up for, just to make sure I'm not, say, signing away the rights to my name or agreeing to have tons of junk mail shipped to me. (Also, it's usually worth looking to find out how they'll notify you if you win.)

Still, though, if they state the rules in the terms and conditions, I'm not sure angrily venting when you lose is the most effective way to provide feedback.

Ok friend, but at the same time(and on a much larger scale), if they were giving a car away and all you had to do was write an essay explaining why you should get it and then they just pick a random essay as the winner when all the essay says is "I like cars, I like fast cars"....wouldn't you be pissed?

Yeah, I'd be annoyed, but instead of freaking out about it in the comments for a semi-related article, I'd carry the disappointment deep within my being for years, then show up crying at Richard Mitchell's 20-year high school reunion, clutching a Big Daddy figurine and screaming, "Why don't you love me?!"
