Could we have just a moment to talk to you about a problem sweeping our nation? It's an issue plaguing BioShock Limited Edition figurines, making Big Daddies feel positively small. The problem isn't in their heads: They are the sufferers of a rare medical complication called DD ... or Drill Dysfunction.
The main symptom, a broken drill bit, is easy to spot even to the casual observer, part of what makes disease so insidious. But now, there's help. Please, talk to your Big Daddy's doctor about DD to see if this treatment is right for him. Then contact 2K and let their patented rehabilitation techniques therapeutically repair DD, without the use of harsh pharmaceuticals. You'll even be sent a free limited edition art book to peruse while you wait. Please, fill out this support form today, and have your daddy feeling big again.

Yes, you could glue it and have a figure with no possible appreciation in value, or you could get a replacement and a printed copy of the art book that's likely to become a collectors item. What would a smart person do? Oh, that's right. Get a replacement.

Erm, so what about us folks in the UK? My Big Daddy arrived damaged, drill piece chipped, a finger snapped off, and a chunk out of its knee. The only other person I know who purchased the collectors edition also had the same problem with the drill bit. So why aren't we eligible for an exchange?

I think that chunk is supposed to be out of his knee. So...you got that going for you.

Has the whining really been bad enough to comment on it, Ganrob & horngreen?
I got a broken figure and didn't complain about it, but I'm glad to hear that they're replacing them. It's sorta their responsibility, after all. Sell a broken product, offer a fix or replacement.
Weird thing is my drill wasn't broken, the other hand was.
And people, please don't take advantage of 2K's generosity. If your figure didn't come broken, don't try to get it replaced for the bonus. ( You can download the artbook for free anyway. ) You'll just end up hurting people who actually need this deal to replace their broken figures.

My Big Daddy was apparently using his drill to try and claw his way out of the box, but luckily the superficial scratches on the clear plastic was the was the only damage.

I have a desk at work covered with gundam and gits goshipon, and I have a Zaku II version 2.0 in a victory pose next to my computer. So I can understand the desire for various gadgets and trickets. Granted, once my mouse arm starts to sting I take a short break and start drawing, having that stuff next to me is always inspiring. But regardless.
