...OK, so this is admittedly more of a making-of segment, with a developer explaining some of the tools that Guerrila Games has at its disposal to create the game. But if you're starved for Killzone 2 content, we imagine that you're not going to be too picky.

haha, clever. but I don't think that many people awaiting killzone 2 will know what you mean.
with the exception of the fire and green lens on the rifle they always show, this game almost looks black and white.

Its does look very dark and moody. Kinda like Sin City. I'm sure its gonna look great on a hi-def TV though.

Actually Gears has way more color in the campaingn. its multiplayer that is more toned down in color but it looks great that way. As for Killzone Im not lovin the way its looking or is it just me. I want this game to succeed so I can have at least one more reason to buy a PS3 than just to play Bluray movies. I ll wait and see what happens. Another thing is that one of those characters in the game looks mean and annoying, he kinda gets on my nerves. Hes the one talking alot in the opening sequence. Hopefully he gets killed off haha oops.

I think it looks excellent from a technical standpoint, but way too dark. The speaker goes on and on about "post-processing", which they apparently liked a bitch much, the dark filters need to be toned down. Unless it's just my monitor.

I'm pretty much a PS3 hater but I think it would be good if this game does well just because the Sony fanboys are basing their whole existance on it. If it were to score anything less that a 9 out of 10 they will be crushed. So heres to KZ2 in hopes it justifies your console purchase. But please stop acting like it's the best looking thing ever as it's not.

If a 360 person can't admit that Killzone 2 looks good and will probably be a good game, there is no point in further debate. It would be like debating how fair and balanced Fox News really is with a hard core ultra right wing Republican.
Why does the console market have to be divided like American politics? "You are either with the 360 or against it". Mr. Bush has done a good job of teaching the youth about being extreme in your views (and open minded). Bravo.

Ok so tell me what about this game makes it worth the hype? I see nothing in that video that makes it an absolote must buy or that different from other shooters. I guess if your a PS3 owner ( i own both PS3/360) you have to try and get hyped up about something I suppose. But to me the game does not look that impressive to merit all the hype.

Im sory but if u think this is gonna beat HALO 3 you must be dreaming. The first kill zone sucked this one will do the same. I mean look at the graphics they are terrible. For a $600 machine i expected more. The wii could pull off this game never mind blue ray.

Well the wii has as much power as the orginal xbox and I never saw any shooters it had that looks as good as that, so your argument fails there.

Killzone and Halo are actually very different, so a direct comparison can be subjective (although most people would agree Halo 2 was better than the first Killzone).

Actually, aside from the problems with AI it was a pretty good game. It got underrated because it was originally hyped a lot by the media to be a Halo killer.

Then I guess Halo copied off of all the other shooters that were out first for having a "pistol" or "assault rifle". And they copied the concept of killing aliens with guns too. Trust me, nothing in Halo is original except the art and story. And possibly some weapons, but I'm not sure.

To the M$ fanboys,
I have a wii and a 360. I will soon be buying a PS3 because I can afford to do so. The 360 has not warranted the purchase of an HDTV, but my PS3 will need one so I can enjoy my gaming in 1080p and HiDef movies.
The only 360 i have been playing at all is GH2. I could easily dump my 360 and buy it for my ps2 and there would be no loss.
I have yet to find a "must have" game for the 360. GoW is not all that good, and Halo is waayyy over-hyped. If i want to play FPS's, i'll stick to my PC as the 360, or any other console, cannot compete.
As for Killzone2, it looks very pretty for a console game. Since graphics are the only thing i can comment on, I will say that there is no 360 game that can compare. I'm sure the people that have the luxury of affording a PS3 will enjoy this game.

There are way too many holes in your supposed argument to dedicate my time refuting, but, let's just put this into perspective; you have not played Killzone 2, so your lofty claims are a moot issue at this point. Sure, the video looks nice, but that doesn't translate to what your TV will be showing you.
Now sell your 360 on eBay, please. Otherwise, quit whining about only playing GH2, because NO OTHER current gen console has as many games available, nor any games better than what the 360 offers as of right now. i didn't say no system has games, i said no system has games that i really really want to play. i'll buy whatever games that I find enjoyable, not what other's find enjoyable.
I would post my gamer tag, but i don't feel like being bombarded with messages from all the haters (you know it will happen).
My point is this, go buy whatever you want to buy and stop trashing on others. Video games are very subjective, so what you think is awesome, might not be to someone else and vice versa.

Very techincally impressive graphics. Though I can't understand anyone who thinks this looks great but then also says Halo loks 'generic', considering Halo has quite a unique look for a sci-fi shooter.

All I can say is Screw you guys this looks badass.
Really I never thought KZ2 will be this good.I was sure it was going to suck even when Killzone Liberation was simply awesome like Metal Slug in 3D I had no hopes on KZ2 but looks at this it simply badass.
While as a x360 owner I will love to flame the Ps3 Fenixknight is doing one hell of a job so I believe he doesn’t need support but my 2 cents about this trailer
1-Damn if it looks good, One of the things I loved about Killzone is that the Characters feel like a Straight copy of GI Joe, If you played KZ:L in the PSP you know what I mean, I don’t remember the name of the 4 chapter boss but don’t tell me he doesn’t reminds you of Cobra.
2-The KZ:L references are sweet :D
3-I don’t mind the hi-cups and the loading times “IN” the game but when you start the game it seems is going to take forever to load again I don’t mind the in game loading times I mean we had those in Half Life but I feel the loading times and the hi-cups can really make the game feel tedious
4-This game needs some sort of achievement system a la x360 or like KZ:L also something like the COG tags like in Gears of war.
5-Boss fights are sweet.

Visually the game looks great, but other then that. From the small game play footage.. Its not appealing. I feel like I could go play gears and everything would have sum similarity. Alot of people would disagree and I can accept that, but watching and understanding killzones past. I dont feel like its that make wanna go buy a ps3 game. At least they are taking there time in building and putting together this title. When people say thinngs like this is the halo killer. People need to understand.. There will be many games that visually and gameplay wise will be better then halo, but on the stand point on lasting appeal and what draws gamers.....YEA...Many people will disagree and hey...i understand, but its just my opinion
