I learned about the Dread rumor a couple weeks ago and searched madly for more info, only to turn up bubkis. How funny it's up here now. I'm sure making this game is a foregone conclusion.

Sooner or later, I'm going to snap and buy a DS...even though handheld gaming, no matter how good the game is, can't hold my attention for more than 15 minutes.
I hate those small screens.
I'd prefer it if Metroid Dread was released on the Wii.

Why does everyone keep referring to Retro with regards to this potential game? I suppose they may be responsible for the teaser message, but they almost certainly would not have anything to do with the actual game were it to exist. Retro only makes the 3d Metroid games - Fusion, for instance, was made by Nintendo's R&D1. I would even bet that the message itself may have come from Nintendo's people rather than directly from someone at Retro, but there's no way to determine that. In any case, I certainly hope it's telling the truth.
