Although the games bounce back and forth in the Metroid timeline, it's nice to know that there's an actual cohesive story in there compared to the debatable Legend of Zelda timeline. And now we look forward to this week when we finally get our hands on Corruption. Samus will be playable again in the near future with Smash Bros. Brawl, but we'll have to wait and see if the next full Metroid game takes place after Fusion, or if Nintendo squeezes another chapter out of the Prime series.

After watching this, I wonder whats left for Samus....its been a great series so far. Will the X parasite take over? Please keep the Metroids!! Give a 2-D monster for the DS!

Another 2-d would be fine by me, too. For the DS or even the Wii.

Rumors resurfaced regarding reviving the recently remembered Metroid Dread. http://www.dsfanboy.com/2007/08/27/metroid-dread-resurfaces-in-mp3-corruption/

At the end of Fusion she pretty much screwed over the federation, destroying their own space station against their wishes, stealing their computer, destroying all their research(the Fed seemed very dystopian in Fusion), to make sure the X-parasite was destroyed.
So I would think the Federation is kind of pissed. Maybe in the next game she'd be on the run from them, or possibly take them down.

Near the very end of the video, Samus is seen walking away with her hand up...In what game is this?
And, you know what? After watching this, I want to play MP3. I never thought I would, but I do now. Everyone is saying the controls are so great and all...But I've only played through the original Prime and some of the second, not the whole Prime series. Regardless, I still want this game now...It's crazy to imagine I'm saying this now, but I really do want to play it...
Cool.

That's from the bad ending in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I'm only 12% through.

That was awesome and just makes me more excited for MP3. I've beaten every metroid game except for hunters but I plan on doing that soon.

seriously excellent work. This is what G4 should be doing, and should of been. I think Nintendo might release another metroid game and than call it quits for a while.

Not that it matters that much but the Captain N cartoon came out before the comic. The show was actually based on Nintendo Power's Captain Nintendo. Read about it here:

For anyone that is curious, the music used throughout this video is from a project called Metroid Metal. All the songs are free at metroidmetal.com, so if you are a Metroid fan, you HAVE to check it out.
