Going the traditional route isn't a bad option, however, as the retail version is priced $20 more but includes more video content and a Bluetooth headset.

As a guy who was in the Beta (but thanks to Bioshock, won't have the money until Thursday for this game) and has been fiending for it ever since the Beta ended, I can say you, sir, are a piece of crap. So many unanswered questions I have about the game. Things I never tried....
-Riding piggyback on a Warhawk. Sure, it can HOLD another person, but can you ride on top? If so, this drastically reduces the need for a landing zone.
-Have they lowered the minimum point scores. On team deathmatch, choosing between 4, then 500 points seems a tad unbalanced?
-Does the retail version install. I'm lazy, I like games directly on the XMB.

How is Epic games able to put a fantastic story mode and online for a game that was in development for 2-3 years while warhawk, an online only title, with poor gameplay and graphics and nothing genre defineing has been in development for 5-6 years with a team of 150-200 sucks so much?

Fantastic story mode? WTF? Have you played ANY of these games? The single player mode in games like UT are just tournament set-ups. It's just the multiplayer games with bots.

How is the comparison the least bit valid? Yes, Gears has a great single player mode. But does Gears have 32-player multiplayer matches? That's right, it doesn't. Warhawk is more like a Battlefield game, so I'm not sure why you're trying to compare it to Gears. Please do yourself a favor an STFU.

Those pics don't do it justice, that is why most say 'Work in Progress' on the bottom. The beta looked very good and I'm sure the final game will look pretty sweet.

You're a retard. The $60 version comes packed with a bluetooth headset and contains additonal "video content". I'm sure the video content is just cut scenes of some sort or something else trivial, but the main difference is the headset.

Considering the control scheme to Metroid just would NOT work with Warhawk, I'm sure everyone is wishing they had Metroids controls in Warhawk. And while we're at it, why the hell does Lair play like a flight sim? I mean, I SHOULD be able to play that game with my beatmania controller. And I even have the dream of one day controlling Manhunt 2 with my maraca controllers for Dreamcast.

Didnt Sony say that they use BluRay due to the "MORE DETAIL'd" games it has to offer for the NextGen.
The thing is, theyve been using Microsofts DVD choice to help push BluRay. And now Sony is the first to offer a Retail game in a downloadable form for a whole $20 less.. But yet remember BluRay is IMPORTANT..
Why.. Sony might as well just Nix the disc all-together, and become the NEW "Phantom"..

Yeah Fernando defintely isn't cosntantly at Curmeo level. (though on his "best" days he's certainly up there.) Also as said before he actually will listen to reason. To all the haters:
The graphics are not XBox 1, but not fully PS3. This is for a number of very good reasons.
1) To keep the game under 1 GB since current internet connections would take forever to download something the size of a full on PS3 game. The uber-short Heavenly Sword demo was close to a gig itself.
2) The ability to support 4 player split-screen. Drawing something to Motorstorm quality is difficult, drawing it 4 times simultaneously is insanely difficult.
Also, the price arguments are really silly. Name one XBox 360 game that was $39.99 at launch or launched with a free BT headset and I'll give you a gold star. I seriously am baffled by why Halo fans feel to need to shit on Warhawk. Is it not possible to have differen tastes, or even more so, like both games?

Im not trying to raise expectations, but we have a epic storyline all the way to revolutionary online play... There is no way any other game can compete. Actually, a game similar in production values and "multiplayer only" on the 360 that released at a similar price point was Fuzion Frenzy 2.. which kinda sucked too. I think it was $39.99 at release or something near that. When you buy the disc-ed version of Warhawk.. you are really just paying $20 for a headset. The video thing is a joke.

hahaha you can hate all you want. doesn't bother me. i'm happy to replace my socom logitech usb headset with the slick bluetooth one.
yeah the gfx look cartoony but its crisp and smooth and with 64 players in a game, im more concerned with quick gameplay. as for the price--yeah well i bought a ps3 so don't worry guys--i can afford 60 bucks for a slick piece of hardware + software. just glad to have a system that can USE third party headsets, and wont crap out on me while im playing all night long. and you can keep xbl--i'd rather avoid having 13 year old kids call me a ni---- every time i kill them. psn is thankfully a lot more chill.
i'll hopefully be playing with my fellow ps3 gamers after work tomorrow (assuming a store in the DC area has it by then). and (like i said in ps3fanboy), if i see one of you in warhawk, i'll be sure to tell the rest of joystiq how i f-ed you up haha.
so yeah ill be fragging nonstop while fernando shares his latest mii with his friends. oh look! this one looks like chewbacca!!

Why would there be more 13 year olds calling people a ni----- on XBL, when they can do that for free with your sub-par PSN trash. Yeah, you have to pay for XBL, but it's worth it for a stable connection and a solid structure. And for an online only game, isn't that what you want?
And BTW, there are plenty of games nowadays that support 32-64 players online, and I could bet that the majority look better than Warhawk. So don't use 64 players as an excuse. We've already established that the 360 and PS3 are next-gen. They can handle pretty graphics and 64 players. Hell, Perfect Dark Zero had 64 (i think) players and that was a launch title with pretty nice graphics.
