People have already been contacted, 'Hence, we will honour the prices given at the time of placing the order' (had it already ctr+c'd for an msn convo). Good times ;-D

@#1 - any mention of the fate of the poor soul who entered the wrong price?

Yup, I've contacted them too and they've confirmed that all pre-order prices will be honoured.

To say I'm pleased with this result would be an understatement.

I wonder how long will UK eBay be flooded with people who bought half a dozen of them at the price.

they are not aloud to charge the higher price for people who have pre-ordered it

otherwise it goes against there terms and your terms.
they are only aloud to raise the price of everyone who pre-ordered it if they agree to it.

so in conclusion the people who have pre-ordered it at that price get it at that price.

ALSO i contacted Amazon about the price yesturday and i got a reply saying it wasnt a mix up and they meant to do that. Ill try and dig out the copy of the email as its kinda lost with the rest of my 1000 emails i got since 2002.

@#3

No one entered the wrong price. Amazon have stated that the £15 price tag was a promo pre-order deal that lasts a week only and therefore anyone that preordered during this time will have paid next to nothing for those two titles.

Amazon just bumped both games up to 34.99 and thats now the price for anyone who preorded at 14.99. I got two emails just 5 mins ago telling me about each item and that I was expected to pay the new price.

In fact they even auto-cancelled my order. Gee, thanks. Morons@amazon.

Just got the same email, stating that even though they are consistently 800 billion in profit every quarter, they won't be honouring the order, because they are Amazon and they can make up their own laws and not abide by basic trading standards. Bastards!
Come on Fanboy staff! Get off Warhawk and fight our corner!
Might have to wait until the morning tho, as I believe the staff at Amazon regularly cry themselves with the shame!

Same here. Got the exact same email minutes ago.

So did some people really get the 14.95 deal as mentioned by some of the earlier comments?

Game publishers perhaps have lessons to learn following this! When two, probably fairly mediocre games, suddenly take the number 1 and number 2 spots at Amazon when they are sold at £14.99, it must say something about the prices that people are willing to pay.

At £14.99 I ordered both games, because I'm sure I'd get value for money from them even though they are likely to be pretty average. I won't be re-ordering either of them at £39.99 each though.
