Take a moment to reflect. Peter Marks is a member of the Bungie community for over a decade and is responsible for designing the incredibly fun Halo map Hang 'em High, among others. Marks has been diagnosed with "an aggressive form of cancer." Here is an open letter; please send your well-wishes.

Maybe this guy will pull thru but anytime you here aggressive form of cancer it cant be a good thing.
When you hear about something like this, it really reminds me that life is to fracking short, and we should live our lives so that when the inevitable happens we can all look back and say yes, I had a good life.
All of the fanboy bickering really looks insignificant compared to this. Still, I see nothing wrong with some smack talk.
Life is short, have some fun when as often as you can.

I'll dedicate the first rounds of Halo 3 to Peter. Hang 'em High was one of the best maps I've ever played on any FPS. I wish him well.

Just goes to show that not even game designers are immune to human diseases. At least we now know those at Bungie are actually human.
Here's to you, Peter.

Man.. get well! Remember all the cancer survivors especially Lance Armstrong. His cancer spread all over his body, he managed to pull through.
Anyone know what type of cancer, or the age of Peter? This is very unfortunate :(

Hang 'em High was a big fav for me and all my halo LAN party buds. We played Countless hours of this map (along with others) for almost three years. Lived in a place with two of my buddies who both also has xbox's and all we would do was play halo LAN multiplayer. Man those were good times. Best wishes to Peter and his family durring this hard time, he brought a lot of joy to many peoples lives through his art.

His cancer matters because he designed a halo map.
