The nebulous "November" release date for the highly-anticipated RPG Mass Effect is now primed for dimensional travel November 20. The preview videos have been yummy, the conversation system looks amazing, even our time with the game was nice -- now if we could only get a straight answer on those weird frame-rate hiccups we keep seeing.
We hope that'll all be cleaned up by November when we'll be partaking in turkey and then sitting our tryptophan overdosed selves down for hours of Mass Effect. Who would watch football after dinner when there's a galaxy to save?

Damn! So it would have been 4 months of AAA titles for 360, until PS3 messed up October for us!
Bioshock (August)
Halo 3 (September)
GTA IV (October)
Mass Effect (November)
Thanks again bitches!

Personally the only game on that list I care for is BioShock, and I can't even play it until October because my 360 bricked again. That said, I think 2007 is the year of Xbox 360 when it comes to variety of games, but come 2008, 2009, there will be more interest in PS3, with games like MGS4, FF13, GOW3, GT5, and the next Ico. The 360 gets Alan Wake and Ninja Gaiden 2 (both sure to be great), but come on. It'll be interesting to see what fault people find with the PS3 then.

@Mr. P
Blu-ray movies are too expensive? don't look as good as hd-dvd? possibly still lacking an online play system as good as xbox live (depending on how Home turns out)? The possibility of whether or not those exclusives will be good? IE, Only decent ratings are coming out for several other exclusives that were suppose to be Triple-A PS3 titles making them seem more like A or B titles.
I doubt that would happen with MGS4 though. I mean who doesn't like over the top bosses and watching georgeous cutscenes with some gameplay inbetween the menus?

I never cared for any of those PS3 soon-to-be-releasing games that are being touted as AAA titles, because I never thought of them as such. In fact the only PS3 game I own right now is NG Sigma, and I plan on buying just Heavenly Sword until MGS4.
That said, I already own 6 Xbox 360 games, so don't think I'm some fanboy. And I even buy the 360 version of multi games for Live and rumble. I'm just saying that next year is when the PS3 will get it's console-movers. The main difference between the PS2 and PS3 is that the PS2 got such games within the first year instead of the second.
I just can't see anything exclusive coming from MS that can stand up to the upcoming PS3 titles I mentioned.

It has honestly become quite a challenge to get gaming time in and also do work/have a life.
I'm halfway through a handful of old AAA titles, and am not looking forward to the onslaught of Halo, Mass Effect, and the Mistwalker stuff. Thankfully Bioshock is backordered online for me, and has yet to ship. Cap'n, I need more time!

So first you get Bioshock in August which is simply awesome and the obligatory must have,If you beat it you can get Blue Dragon or Naruto:Rise of the Ninja right? until Halo 3 is released.
Then after you get sick of Halo 3 you get Mass effect.
Cool

JJ Rooster you forgot that GTA IV was pushed to 2008. Still with Halo3, COD4, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, HL2 Orange Box, Ace Combat 6 & Eternal Sonata there is a lot of gaming to be done.

Oh how quickly we forget! Take-Two said there were technological challenges; they never specified what was causing the problem. Many, and some (usually inaccurate) analysts, said it was the PS3 port of the game, but nothing was confirmed by the developers.
So both of your statements have no merit, as far as I've seen. Loved to see some evidence if there is any, though.

The game was displayed running on 360 multiple times, but never on a PS3. My gut tells me the problems were more than likely with the system they never showed. There were quotes out on difficulties with each version, so you can't just focus on a very old statement about DVD9 restraints.

According to RumorReporter.com (who I personally find the be the most accurate as far as rumors and such go), it in fact WAS the 360 version that was the main reason for the setback.
Although I believe it was said that the game was getting delayed either way because it was nowhere NEAR complete regardless and was always intended to be an '08 game.

Damn, why would anyone want to own a 360? PS3 has better hardware and movies!! (sarcasm) That was a jab a PS3 fanboys with RROD jokes inevitably following this blog. I already forgot about this title. I can only focus on one month at a time. Damn this list is getting long. I'm lost in the wave of titles coming out. BioShock is awesome. COD4 beta is coming. HALO 3 is already reserved. Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata look entertaining. Playing roommates Tiger 08 right now. PGR4 is around the corner. DAMN ROCK BAND.... HURRY UP AND SHOW ME YOUR FULL SONG LIST. Too many games. That's the only probably I have with Wii60... too many games. At least PS3 has a nice list of movie titles. =)
