Can someone PLEASE tell me how to INDUCE RRoD on my 360 Elite? I really love it but the noise is too much. Hopefully if I send it in they'll send a new one out to me right?

Cuz this is getting ridiculous. So please if you know of any safe way to cause RRoD please let me know.

If it's a brand new elite just keep playing,it will happen. My x360 died playing Dead Rising I don't know if that helps.

Try to play games that requiere a ton of loading times I guess.

Hmmm see I'd do that but now it won't even read discs....

SO I'm think I'll just play the demos A LOT. Or should I just increase the house temp? Lol...God I'm almost ashamed of what I'm suggestinng.

And if my Elite does RRoD will they send a BRAND NEW one? Or a refurb? Cuz I really don't want a refurb...

What?,Then what are you waiting for?.You don't need to wait to get a RRoD,If it doesn't read discs anymore and freezes a lot, congrats your X360 elite is now a candidate for replacement.

All Xbox 360 elite versions are getting the RRoD one after the other, even in the wild.I have seen it twice.

For example the other week there was a x360 elite in display at my local Sam's club and it had the RRod,the funny thing was that it was next to a PS3.Lol.

Too bad I didn't have my cell phone with me that day.

That isn't anything special. heat+enclosed space=fried system

I call it the Law of Wal-Mart Intelligence, since the first place I saw this happen at was a Wal-Mart with their airtight display cases.

Dirt and Forza 2 demos froze my machine. Demos are harder and freeze quite often compare to the full version.

Will it be a new 360 Elite they send me? Or a refurb Word on the Street? And how long does it usually take?

"0:01 I put BioShock in my disc drive and turn the power on"

MAYBE, if you wouldnt forcefully open your disk drive without turning on the power first your xbox will still be working.

This post is just the contiuned effort by joystiq to bash microsoft. Even there story doesnt make sense, putting in the game before powering up.

Also heres a tip. BUY THE PRODUCT REPLACEMENT/PROTECTION SERVICE FROM BEST BUY YOU IDIOTS, replacing your xbox is as simple as taking a trip to the store, who knows you'll maybe find a title you've been meaning to buy.(Blue Dragon, yum)

My xbox died last week while playing Bioshock. I just went and bought an elite, and god help me if this one breaks as well!!!!

Anyone think there is a link between bioshock and hardware failure? I have seen alot of people with the same circumstance.....

I think the Bioshock discs may be the cause of alot of these red rings, as of late.

Fortrunately, my 360 hasn't bricked yet... But every time I pop in my copy of Bioshock, I get the 'Disc Read Error' message, and there is absolutely nothng physically wrong with the disc... After a wipedown, it plays fine. Or if I leave it in the drive overnight, and turn it on the next day - disc read error.

Not every once in a while - but EVERYTIME I first insert the disc.

I just got off the phone with the XBOX 360 service center. It only took 4 hours for my replacement unit to fail. Madden 08, NHL 08 = can someone let me know if they are any good. I haven't even been able to play them, but own them both.
Should I even buy Halo 3? Just to stare at the box?
I hope the 3rd time is a charm.
