For those of you who don't normally read all the comments, you'll want to read them this time... ;)
Seriously, one of the funniest Joystiq threads I've seen.

We will, and it will last 10 years, or about the time the PS3 becomes popular.

I bet that Xbox360 boat that appeared at the PS3 launch had hundreds of Nintendo ninjas hiding like barnacles on the underside.

Also, awesome news.

Awesome analogy. Combining efforts of ninjas and pirates was a risky yet worthwhile strategy of the Reggielution.

I'm sure that if Nintendo didn't have production issues right now (doesn't have anything to do with how "easy" the technology is to produce, but simply how fast they can make them, due to physical restraints and what not), there'd be a total of 1 gazillion Wiis sold by now.

Yup, that glass of Metroid is extremely refreshing for us PAL Wii owners!

Oh wait. It isn't out here for another 2 months.

Never mind, we don't need another Wii game just yet! We're still playing Super Paper Mario!

.. Oh wait. That isn't out here yet either.

Buy a modchip ,install then import.
Or there is something called the internets (which may or may not be a series of tubes) that you can download games from, however i think that method has something to do with sea-fairing pirates.

lmao @ Tingle RPG, good one!

I honestly think that it's true about possibly selling a bajillion or more if it were not for supply issues.

Imagine what'll happen when 'The Big 3' hit (Mario Galaxy, Smash Brothers, and Wii Fit). The Wii is never going to be easy to find in the foreseeable future! Then Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Wii Music, and countless others, all with mass appeal.
Yeesh...!

You are calling wii fit one of the big three?

So where is all the 3rd party support? Seems like all the major 3rd party AAA titles are heading to 360 and to some extent PS3. Why no wii luv, not that I really care since I dont own one anymore. It seems like the only good 3rd party title the wii gets are the same ones PS2 either has or is getting...

Are my math skillz rusty?

Xbox 360: 1 million units in 60 weeks. Console has been out ~100 weeks?

Wii: 1 million units in 38 weeks. Console has been out 38 weeks.

How does that equate to 68% console market share? Unless MS loses a sale for every RROD.

this is by far the weirdest set of comments on a post I have ever seen.

but answer me this, if Wii has just sold 1million, and the 360 has more then 1million (because it reached it after 60 weeks) how is it possible that the wii can have 68% of the market? assuming the PS3 sold 0 units, its still impossible.
