Capcom releases partial TGS lineup
Capcom's partially unveiled Tokyo Game Show lineup features a healthy mix of zombies, pirate treasure and golf, though sadly not all in the same game. Eurogamer reports that the publisher looks to demonstrate the following titles when the event starts on September 20th:
- We Love Golf (Wii)
- Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (Wii)
- Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure (Wii)
- Mega Man Star Force 2 (DS)
- Wantame Music Channel Doko Demo Style (DS)
- Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360)
- Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes (PS2)

One title must be:
-Megaman 9
-Megaman X9
-Megaman & Bass 2
-Megaman X: Command Mission 2
-MegaMan Legends 3
And another is probably another Viewtiful Joe. Or Street Fighter. Or Darkstalkers. Or Ghosts 'n Goblins.
Or maybe... It's Gotcha Force 2.
Fernando Rocker @ Sep 3rd 2007 4:42PM
Okami 2 and definitely Viewtiful Joe. For the Wii.
Kazi @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:10PM
Bad news, it's Mega Man Star Force 3.
samfish @ Sep 3rd 2007 10:53PM
I agree with everything but Legends 3. Never got into the Legends games.
Especially the part about Mega Man 9 and ESPECIALLY especially Viewtiful Joe.
...although I'm not hopeful for either.

That's a shame, Sammy. To me, the Legends games were great. Fun action/adventure with great characters and localization (Unlike MM8 and MMX4, Legends had GREAT voice acting!).
And those loveable Servbots. Miss Tron made 41 of them, and they're pretty much worthless, but they try really hard!
blooh @ Sep 3rd 2007 4:47PM
too bad i don't care about any of those games :(
i want dead rising 2, capcom!
waves @ Sep 3rd 2007 4:58PM
Yes! I finally played it this summer. They really should have started working on it by now.
ssuk @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:49PM
rumors are that development comenced a while back. No word officially on it, though.
Vegnagun @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:13PM
I can't wait to get my hands on umbrella chronicles. The RE series has always been good, but here's to hoping that the rail shooter isn't RE survivor. Memories of arcade rail light gun shooters come flooding back to me. So many quarters, such bad aim.
vidGuy @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:17PM
I'm buying Zack and Wiki, I'll probably play DMC4, and I'm hoping for two things: a Resident Evil on the Wii that isn't a rails-shooter, and a sequel to Dead Rising.
Mr Khan @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:23PM
1. Hooray for Zack and Wiki
2. Umbrella Chronicles is looking good, but i'm getting worried for RE5, they haven't really been showing a lot of that at all lately
3. It's odd that they don't have a Dead Rising sequel in the works, as i felt it would be easy to pump a sequel out for. Make a new public locale (like an office building, a school) use the same engine, be creative with item placement, use similar scenario, and boom, Dead Rising 2
ssuk @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:54PM
What do you mean, 'lately' the game hasn't been shown off much AT ALL. There was a teaser trailer waaaay back, then the short E3 trailer, then the extended Marketplace/PSN trailer...
The game has only just reached the stage where they're show-casing it, this is a similar trait amongst the large majority of up-coming video games.
Kazi @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:26PM
It's frightening how much they abuse Mega Man. The GBA saw 6 Mega Man Battle Networks. The DS got MMBN 7 with Star Force. They just released Star Force and now there's already another one on the way. They might as well announce Star Force 3, 4, 5 and 6, maybe 7 seeing as the DS's life span could be pretty long. Not even Castlevania is as much of a sequel machine as Mega Man! Jeeze Capcom, let the little blue man rest!
Then again, he was a sequel machine in the NES and SNES days too. 6 Side scrollers on the NES alone.
Vegnagun @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:36PM
yeah but at least when castlevania comes out every month with a new game, the game is incredible. if you disagree you haven't played them.
Word of the street. @ Sep 3rd 2007 6:01PM
Vegnagun so the PS2/xbox casltvania games were incredible?
Most of the castlevania games are incredible but just the ones in 2D.
Megaman ZD,Powered up! and Maveric Hunter X were Awesome too bad Capcom continues with the Battle network series.
Vegnagun @ Sep 3rd 2007 6:10PM
Well I was referring to the GBA/DS titles they pump out.
Word of the street. @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:40PM
shouldn't that game be called Wii love golf?.
I'm looking foward ot Zack and wiki +RE:chronicles but I dont have any Idea what Wantame Music Channel Doko Demo Style (DS) or Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes (PS2) is I mean I don't even played Sengoku Basara 1.
That Megaman game is a shame,Capcom should continue with Megaman Powered up! series if not in the PSP at least in the PS2 or Ds,please stop with the Megaman spin off Capcom, they suck.
Snukadaman @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:47PM
The 3rd game is suppose too be dead rising 2.
Word of the street. @ Sep 3rd 2007 5:53PM
That would be sweet.I love Dead Rising as much as I love Bioshock but I don't think is going to be DR2 more like something new and exciting like RE5 being released for the x360 too!.
LOL
ThornedVenom @ Sep 3rd 2007 6:03PM
WHY CAMELOT SOFTWARE PLANNING, WHY?!!!
Why did you have to abandon us in our Golden Sun madness... and make "We love golf" ?! T_T
mr nimblewick @ Sep 4th 2007 12:22AM
Why did they have to abandon our shining force and leave it in the hands of Sega?
Evan @ Sep 3rd 2007 7:27PM
I'm interested in We Love Golf. I hope the characters have swimsuits like in Super Swing Golf.
And Zack and Wiki is definitely on my to buy list!
Chris @ Sep 3rd 2007 8:48PM
I really hope its a little nemo remake/sequel
samfish @ Sep 3rd 2007 10:50PM
Just tell me who I had to blow to get Godhand 2 and it'll be done.
Sol @ Sep 4th 2007 12:03AM
Zombies, pirates and golf in the same game sounds like a great idea.
Capcom were known for their side-scrolling beat 'em ups. I hope they announce something like that with Wii controls. The fighting controls in games like The Godfather: Blackhand Edition would work well with a Final Fight sequel.
BPM @ Sep 4th 2007 1:17AM
As long as it's not another Streetwise... [shudder]
To think, one crappy game lead to the closure of the studio that made Maximo.
Blunt @ Sep 4th 2007 12:10AM
You know, I really am genuinely excited about Zack & Wiki. It's been a while since I've been excited about a Capcom game...
Capcom... I remember when you rocked...
Then you started overmilking the Megaman cow...
*sigh*
