In an interview with Gamasutra, Marvel's VP of interactive media Justin Lambros says he hopes to see Marvel vs. Capcom make its way to digital download. The main focus of the story for Gamasutra is supposed to be about EA's new Marvel Fighting Game, but following EA's aptly named Rise of the Imperfects, which was far beyond imperfect, you'll bear with us as we don't get excited about that and focus on Marvel vs. Capcom.
Lambros answers Gamasutra's questions about Marvel vs. Capcom appearing on Xbox Live by saying, "I'm a huge 2D fighting fan ... the Marvel vs. Capcom stuff has a definite close place in my heart, so we definitely wanna see that stuff live on." He says that there are no deals in place, but they may be considering it. Maybe when Capcom has Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (with a side of cole slaw) completed, they can get to work updating Marvel vs. Capcom, let's keep Udon working.

Oh, and if they ever port another arcade game, leave the option of continues and so forth in the settings instead of automatic infinite continues.
Then again I'm a newb in MvsC2.

This IS the best fighting game. Ever.
A LIVE version, to me, is worth the cost of the 360 and a year on LIVE.

To be honest about MvC2, however...
--ELEVATOR MUSIC...in the most epic fighting game ever??
--lots of recycled sprites...
--you couldn't tell what the announcer was saying ever
But if all the sprites were redrawn EVEN in a resolution comparable to SVC CHAOS, that would be awesome.
MvC1 at least made up for it with new characters and character-specific music.
A Vs. Collection for Wii would be hella awesome too. :)

I can not say emphatically enough how badly I would love MVC2 (NOT MVC, please don't waste our time with that version) on Live Arcade. Aside from Smash Bros Melee, there is no fighter I enjoy playing more. Feel free to update the character art to high-res to match the nice backgrounds. Guilty Gear did it years ago, let's not be lazy here.
Please Capcom, for me. You don't even have to change the insufferable soundtrack. I want to be taken for a ride - online.
