In an interview with Gamasutra, Marvel's VP of interactive media Justin Lambros says he hopes to see Marvel vs. Capcom make its way to digital download. The main focus of the story for Gamasutra is supposed to be about EA's new Marvel Fighting Game, but following EA's aptly named Rise of the Imperfects, which was far beyond imperfect, you'll bear with us as we don't get excited about that and focus on Marvel vs. Capcom.
Lambros answers Gamasutra's questions about Marvel vs. Capcom appearing on Xbox Live by saying, "I'm a huge 2D fighting fan ... the Marvel vs. Capcom stuff has a definite close place in my heart, so we definitely wanna see that stuff live on." He says that there are no deals in place, but they may be considering it. Maybe when Capcom has Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (with a side of cole slaw) completed, they can get to work updating Marvel vs. Capcom, let's keep Udon working.

Capcom, a TON of us are MvC2 fans. Hell, just reading this made me bust out my dreamcast and play it. You dont need to do a whole HD remix for this game (but would be damn nice), but put it on live with xbox live play.
Step 1: Port MvC2 with online multiplayer
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit!

I heard awhile ago something like this wasn't possible because of the license agreement with EA .
But how about the BC team get back to work on the conversion. The game is completely unplayable in its current state.

Well, Konami doesn't have the TMNT license anymore, but they made it happen for the TMNT arcade game for $5 on live. They'll just add another logo on the screen (EA's).
Oh, and if they ever port another arcade game, leave the option of continues and so forth in the settings instead of automatic infinite continues.

Man, I remember that game so well. I was so addicted to it that I swear that I actually got blisters on my thumbs 5 times in a row. And that didn't stop me from playing. And come on, who DOESN'T like ultimate showdowns? **cue in that music from the Flash animation**
WHO DO I HAVE TO KILL TO GET THIS GAME REMADE IN HD WITH MOAR CHARACTERS?!!!
(PS: Videogames don't kill people. Craving gamers on the other hand, FUCK YES.)

Any of those Capcom fighters that came out after they started redesigning the characters were just a pleasure to play. The graphics, the sound, the animations and the controls. Just top notch stuff. I was never a SSFII Turbo Edition fan....but anything after that was just gold. The Saturn made a great home for that stuff, especially with the 4MB cart from JP.

MVC2 has always been my favorite 2D fighter of all time. I echo the others who can attribute blisters directly to this game. An XBLA version would be a no-brainer purchase even without graphical updates or Live play.

I would love nothing more. This is hands down my favorite fighting game, and if it came to Live, I would buy it the very second it showed up.
Please, please PLEASE let Capcom do this.

MvC doesn't need a graphical upgrade. It's fine the way it is. MvC2 on the other hand looks shitty, thanks to high res backgrounds with low res characters. Before they pump MvC out, they need to get XmenVsSF & MSHvsSF out.

This is not only the best SF-related game, or 2D fighting game.
This IS the best fighting game. Ever.
A LIVE version, to me, is worth the cost of the 360 and a year on LIVE.

Getting a Hyper Combo Finish with Dan's Premium Sign is the greatest thing ever.
To be honest about MvC2, however...
--ELEVATOR MUSIC...in the most epic fighting game ever??
--lots of recycled sprites...
--you couldn't tell what the announcer was saying ever
But if all the sprites were redrawn EVEN in a resolution comparable to SVC CHAOS, that would be awesome.
MvC1 at least made up for it with new characters and character-specific music.
A Vs. Collection for Wii would be hella awesome too. :)

I sold my XBOX the day Capcom revealed they were pulling LIVE support from MVC2.
I can not say emphatically enough how badly I would love MVC2 (NOT MVC, please don't waste our time with that version) on Live Arcade. Aside from Smash Bros Melee, there is no fighter I enjoy playing more. Feel free to update the character art to high-res to match the nice backgrounds. Guilty Gear did it years ago, let's not be lazy here.
Please Capcom, for me. You don't even have to change the insufferable soundtrack. I want to be taken for a ride - online.

DC does not, however, look like poo on devices with VGA inputs. Invest in those extra cables and it's a world of difference.
