This week's most high-profile release might be the John Woo-inspired spiritual sequel to Hard Boiled, but the best overall purchase is debatable. While it may be worth $60 to you to shoot a bunch of nameless thugs, destroy metric tons of innocent fruit and slide over every table like it was freshly-Endusted, that may not be your bag. (Check out the trailer after the break if you're confused.) If not, may we suggest Resident Evil Essentials? Though we quibble with the title, we can't quibble with the price: It's $30 for Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X, Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil 4. If you haven't played them, this is the time to rectify that. Also, we see that Wii owners are being punished for the bounty they received of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption last week. Well, have fun at the Pool Party.
When are they going to release Duke Nukem Forever? Next month I hope. It will destroy Halo 3 in terms of multiplayer and customization. You can crank your Duke full of steroids and stuff money into a titty dancer g-string.
Warhawk came out last week as a downloadable title on the PSN with the retail copy being available the same day or maybe the next day.
Lair came out on Thursday. At first it seemed that a few stores broke street date, but apparently they pushed the release date forward because different stores were all selling it.
