That's gonna piss about, lets say, 100 people off in the UK. I've heard no one talk about it anywhere. I go to a school of over 1,300 and no one seems to care about the new PSP.

So the only biggest selling point for the new PSP won't be avaible? Sounds like to me that they are rushing this out to the market a bit.

I cant imagine anyone would really rebuy a PSP for this feature unless they were really rich or really stupid. It is very irritating to not be able to use a function of your new machine at launch though.

the other factor is just what settings do you use for encoding your video to look good on the TV, i would suggest at least 768 for 480x272

Wow that really sucks. Lots of people in the UK prefer Sony over others so this really is a shame. Let's hope SCEE can get it out ASAP.

I dunno.. The only reason I'm even contemplating the new PSP at this point is the UMD buffering and the larger memory.. Beyond that, it's just fluff. I'll probably wait to see what they do with the firmware updates before I decide anyways...

Everyone thinks theirs is the only reasonable world view.

I'm buying a PSP-2000 for video out. Without those cables...I'll just have to wait.

Saying video out for the PSP is pointless is like saying have an external monitor is pointless for a laptop. It's a comfort issue. When I'm playing at home I'd much rather kick back and play on a monitor or the tv rather than be hunched over the PSP getting a stiff neck and tired eyes.

Is this a PAL versus NTSC thing?

Its pretty bad considering the PSPs listed for the 14th at http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=11238&mid=332359&cm_sp=psp-_-tower-_-newmodelreg and a few other places when http://uk.playstation.com/psp/news/articles/detail/item76016/PSP-Hollywood-chic/ said the 5th. The T.V. cables can wait! I want my new PSP! Like NOW! lol! 9 days.....

Inaccurate

" Here's a bit of an update on the PSP Slim cables report we posted earlier. Video game news site SPOnG talked to a Sony representative who said that the cables in question would be "available at launch"."

So, uh, make up your mind. Will this not be available at launch, or will only the "piano black" color be available at launch?
