Xbox 360 HD DVD getting Euro price cut

Hi, my name is Mario. You may recognize me from such games as Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3; Super Mario World, and Mario64. I have a new game coming out called Super Mario Galaxy. And let me tell you, everybody who's played my game says its the best platformer since platformers were invented and perfected some 15 years ago when Super Mario 64 came out. Now that I've introduced myself, let me introduce you to my new friends Zack and Wiki. They're from adventureland. Also from adventureland, but bordering closer to shooterland nowadays is Samus Aran. She just got back from her best adventure since her blockbuster title "Super Metroid". Maybe you've heard of her?

As for action RPGs, let me turn the presentation over to my newest good friend and platform, the XBOX360.

Hello everyone, I'm the XBOX360. You can call me Xbox for short, or 360, or x360. I don't care, I'm easy. I have several stunning masterpieces this holiday season in Mass Effect, an action RPG, and Eternal Sonata, a JRPG of unmatched quality. I also have a friend named Blue Dragon who plays on my platform, for you more traditional RPG players. For shooters, let me introduce you to the Master Chief. I think you've heard of him. He has a new companion on my platform in Bioshock, widely regarded as one of the best shooters on a console since ever. For casual fair, you can talk to my new friend Nintendo, or you can check out Guitar Hero 3 or Rock Band, also appearing on my platform.

My only problem with the VGA chart stuff is that games like Uncharted and Folklore are clearly missing from the picture. I was also pretty sure that Socom: Confrontation was coming in November as well as some other PSN releases. Regardless, Sony offers me the variety that I want and the pricepoint wasn't an issue for me. All in all, I'm going to be spending a enough money on games this Fall and Winter. I'm sure most of you will probably surpass my budget since you own multiple consoles.

Are uncharted and folklore going to be out this Christmas?

Last I heard they were both still scheduled for release this holiday. And, honestly, why do you care so much that he likes LAIR. You mentioned Blue Dragon in a post above, yet it got hammered pretty heavily in reviews stateside. Perhaps not as much as LAIR, but neither one is tearing up reviews.

Its not that I care, it just shows how irrational his position is in console gaming. I was disappointed in Blue Dragon, but I'm not suprised by the reception it got, since it was mostly traditional fair in JRPGs. Lair is an all around bad game EXCEPT for the graphics. The only reason he thinks its good is because the graphics will melt your face, and the fact that sony and its talking heads have been hyping this game for 2 years. I can't remember how many times I heard "Yeah, well we'll see who's laughing when LAIR comes out" or something similar. Guess what, I'm still laughing, and so is everyone else who thinks Sony made a bad move with PS3.
