TimeShift is still scheduled for an Oct. 30 release on Xbox 360 and PC, PS3 owners are looking at a "December" release. We're still not over calling the game TimeScript though, based off the demo not allowing us to save friendly soldiers we clearly have the "time" to save. Who knows, maybe the game will impress while the demo didn't, that's still our hope for Heavenly Sword.

Am I the only one who thought it was pretty cool?
And the outfit is way better than that Power Ranger crap. Not that I watch the show or anything.
Really.
(Demo wasn't the bad, either...)

No, I though it was fun too.
Nothing special though, and probably not worth full price, but I'll definitely pick it up when I find it second hand.

Maybe I'm old and cynical but yeah, I was suspicious at the lack of game footage. In the bad old days it was almost always done to sell a really fugly game.

For once I can say the game is better than the commercial.
The full idea of the game is to play with bullet time, time pause and even time rewind.
From the 360 demo, this looks like an awesome game with a very nice concept !
Very good stuffs released for the holidays !!

Bullet time is in so many games now. And rewind isn't anything new, try Prince of Persia or Full Auto. And time pause was even in NES games. Anyways, when you actually play the demo, you pretty much just use bullet time with the rewind as pretty much a scripted event. There was just nothing ingenious about how these abilities were used in the demo. The overall quality just felt like crap in it.

The rings out "Power Ranger" in my head. It's weird cause I watch all those Kamen Rider shows and I'm pretty used to all of those live action suitplay. Maybe it's cause it's American and there's gun violence in it?

I think the lack of gamepley footage isn't that much of a big deal since there is a demo on the marketplace that anyone with a 360 can download and play for themselves.

The shot gun scene was kinda cool the way he warped from side to side, the rest was cheesy...

I loved how during the shotgun fight, after the timeshifter hits the guy, he doesn't have any wounds at all. Not even tears in his shirt. But then they show the same scene from a different angle and his guts are torn open. For a game about time, they sure don't care about continuity.

Actually re-watch the video. The angle is covering up the would inflicted on his left side. Towards the end of the initial assualt angle, you can just make out the wound before the camera switches to the robber on the floor.

THIS GAME IS NOT FAR FROM BEING A GOOG GAME, ON TOP OF BEING ABLE TO SAVE YOUR TEAMMATE, I THINK 3RD PERSON WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO.

The quality of that commercial was pretty good. Hell, with an extended budget they could have made a decent flick!
My idea of a good video game movie would follow the same lines of that commercial: Instead of having a wide cast of characters, and an emoy main character, just give the setting, give the conflict, and show off what the main character can do, and just have him resolve it after some difficulty.
Perfect movie plot! None of that contrived plot bull of every other V game movie!

I think it's funny that the only thing newsworthy about this game is the awesome commercial. I'm loving it.

well if you can't be original, you might as well go for some shock value. It's competing against Halo 3 for your dollars; what else are they supposed to do?

AND WHAT IS WITH PEOPLE THAT SAY CONTROLLING TIME AND SLOW-MO IS OVERUSED!
Can anyone even name over 10 fucking games of this generation that use slow-mo or time control, no you fucking can't, it's just something for you to bitch about. Seriously.

major cheese. Its not just the suit, you can tell its...something about the way the guy in the suit walks/moves that is all power-rangers-esque. If you put like the governator in or, or a hot chick, it would probably look awesome.
