New Myst Online episode coming to GameTap

Like a red giant, the GameTap star continues to expand, and the helium at its core shows no sign of running out. The latest offering is a new episode of Myst Online: Uru Live debuting this Saturday. In "Deception," the guild system being built in the game will get some attention, including guild pubs for members to meet in. There are also new storylines we won't go into here, because if you care about them you probably don't want them spoiled for you. We'll put the full release after the jump, just in case.

Interestingly, much of the content in the expansion has, according to GameTap, been molded by player input. That's literal in one respect, as "Deception" will bring displays of user-generated stained-glass art. ... We know, it may not mean much to most of you. But if you're a fan, you've probably already started the countdown.

"NEW MYST ONLINE EPISODE DEBUTS ON SEPTEMBER 8th

GameTap is launching "Deception," the newest episode in Myst Online: Uru Live this Saturday, September 8th. Players can continue the journey that has already featured all-new puzzles, all-new Ages, and brand new storylines.

Despite the ongoing battles of the Bahro and the threat of the coming war, the D'ni Restoration Council (DRC) continues its efforts to introduce a Guild system into the cavern. Toward that cause, new Guild pubs are introduced, providing Guild members with new areas to congregate and socialize.

Meanwhile, Phil Henderson continues to spread information regarding the Bahro and their conflicts as a former DRC member returns to the cavern. What new information does he have to share and will it lead to salvation or destruction?

Unlike other MMOs, player interactions in Myst Online affect the game in amazing ways. Many of the DRC's recent decisions regarding the implementation of the Guild system have involved the recommendations of a player Explorer named Reteltee. Additionally, in this episode, players will be able to enjoy a display of the outstanding entries of user-created stained glass art.

Portugal? They need to bring to the rest of the world! It's a shame to see such a great service only available in a secondary market for PC games.

I guess Gametap really did start up something good after I stopped playing. I only made it far enough in to play Beyond Good and Evil (which, by the way, crashed at a specific point every time I played, and their support was completely incapable of helping with). I never got to play Sam & Max or this... It's really making me consider starting up again...
