The 360 was already selling well in the UK so I'm sure the actual number of consoles sold in that time frame is amazing.

And someone said the 360 is gonna lose in the UK cuz the PS3 sold out so fast at launch? That was what 6 months ago? And now they're selling like crazy. Guess what? 360 comes out on top. AGAIN. Forever.

aside from being a massive fanboy, the 360 just offers something the other two can't replicate: a great multiplayer across the board. Even with it's faults, I still see it continuing to do well this generation. More than a few of my friends (hardcore gamers) own and play on the wii, but they still turn back to the 360 afterwards...those of them that aren't hooked on PC :P

Glad to see it's still doing well over here!

Personally, I don't know anyone with a PS3 - all my gamer mates have 360's and I know Live was a big part of that.

I would think the 360 will continue to rise in the UK when they finally get around to releasing the Video Marketplace outside the US. The Video Marketplace is one of my favorite features on my Xbox360 and one of the reasons why I tell non-owning friends that they are missing out on so much.

And before anyone shouts about it being in the US, please remember that it isn't Microsoft that's holding back the Marketplace. They are more than happen to take your money and they love taking my money almost every weekend. It's the content owners who are holding things up. But it will come soon, and when it does finally move world wide, I think that one feature will really start to put some hurt on the Wii and the PS3. They are really incapable of doing the same since you don't just develop something like the VM overnight.

it'd be cool if someone could put a graph together showing the month to month rise/fall in sales. Hearing how many units sold doesn't make much sense out of context. Im inept at using computers for practical reasons so i dont know how to do such a thing

The biggest problem the PS3 has now is word of mouth. You wouldn't believe the reaction people I know get from people in the know if they say they are thinking of getting a PS3. Basically they get attacked for being STUPID! Questions like:

1. Dont you wanna play Gears
2. Bioshock?!?!? HELLO!
3. Dont you know about xbla
4. You just want a fancy blu-ray player or something?
5. Well you'll regret it

Ive never known anyones opinion change from gettin a 360 to then getting a PS3 but pleanty the other way round. Oh how I love that sweet self-righteous feeling! Go 360 go!!!

I wonder if they are using the sales of the American 360's that mistakenly got shipped over there as part of the total sales numbers. You know, selling the 360, having it returned cause it doesnt work in the UK, and then them getting a PAL 360(2 consoles sold, even though the NON-PAL 360's dont work over there).
